FOMO is real!
I never really believed in FOMO.... until today. A number of our adult classes are full, so today I sent an email letting everyone know that was the case and that they needed to actually book in for class rather than just randomly turning up and hoping for the best. Well..... In less than 2 hours we had 20+ bookings for the next few days, and a number of phone calls from panicked students meaning that everything is now REALLY full. Seems FOMO really is real.....

You're not selling dance classes...
Many dance studios advertise the wrong thing. They sell the timetable. The class. The style. But that's not what parents are actually buying 🤔 Parents buy a feeling. A transformation. A solution to something going on in their world. Look at the difference: ➡️ Don't sell "ballet classes." ✅ Sell the shy kid who finally has something they're good at. ➡️ Don't sell "Tuesday hip hop." ✅ Sell one hour a week that's just theirs, off the screen. ➡️ Don't sell "preschool dance." ✅ Sell the two-year-old learning to listen, wait their turn, and have a go. ➡️ Don't sell "enrolments open." ✅ Sell the parent who's been looking for the thing their kid actually wants to go to. Same class. Different message. One is about you. The other is about them 💗 So before you post or write the copy for your next ad campaign, ask yourself one thing: Am I describing the class? Or what the class changes for that family? The second one is what gets the click. Your classes already do this every term. Your marketing just has to say it. Finish this in the comments 👇 "I'm not selling dance, I'm selling ______"

Inspiration
Q2 2025 vs. Q2 2026
Because I've actually started tracking things, I have been watching carefully this quarter. In April, I exceeded Q2 2025, then in May, I doubled it. As of this morning, I've officially tripled! Going at a pace watching and waiting over the last few years has been slow (though steady), and this season, I am finally achieving and surpassing the cultural and fiscal goals for the studio! Feels amazing!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 That's amazing @Marjorie Hopkins Well Done!! 🍾
Big Jump In Views
Generally, my FB and IG reel views sit in the 300ish range - sometimes higher, sometimes lower. I'm not fussed about it because my studio space is quite limited, so a huge following isn't my goal. But a recent reel has over 1k views and my investigative brain is wondering why. I'm not doing anything differently; the reel matches (in style and content) many I've posted over the years, but somehow it caught. It makes me curious as to why this one popped off; any theories @Sally Prendergast

Was it about something a little bit more different than normal? Maybe not different for you, but different for the industry? Or maybe it just looked nice? 😀
When you do something really clever.... (not 😂)
So I setup my Meta campaign on Friday, and was sure I pressed that little toggle to turn it on.... and went off to enjoy my lovely weekend. Left the campaign a few days, as you do, not expecting too many results as it's for an event a month away... Sat down on Tuesday morning to check it thinking "I would have though I'd get something by now..." It wasn't turned on 😆 Oh well, easy way to save myself $60! Good news is, I turned it on and have had 5 conversion in the last 3 days. Phew! Lesson learned to double check that little toggle!
