Instagram update - 3 hashtags per post ⚠️
Instagram is changing how hashtags work. You can now only add three hashtags per post and they are being used mainly for search optimisation. What does this mean? ...treat hashtags like keywords that tell Instagram what your post is about so it can show it to the right people. How to use them for your dance studio: 💜 Pick hashtags that match the exact topic of the post. Not all things dance. Not trending or broad tags. Be specific. 💜 Think like SEO. Ask: “What would a parent type into Instagram search to find this post?” Use that as your hashtag. 💜 Avoid generic tags. Specific, descriptive hashtags help your post show up in the right searches. Remember: hashtags help people discover your post. They don’t replace good messaging, clear images, or a strong post structure. The simple rule: Choose three clear, specific hashtags your ideal customer would search for. Note: this may also affect third-party schedulers. If you have more than three hashtags in scheduled posts, check they’re still publishing correctly. Has the 3-hashtag update reached your account yet?

Customer Survey - the 3 top questions to ask
Ask these three things and you’ll learn what pulls people in, what keeps them, and what words they use when they search. Keep it short. Send by email or a free Google Form. Don’t make it fancy. Intro to send with the questions (1–2 lines) Hi! We’re doing a super quick survey to help improve classes and make things better for families. It only takes 1 minute. Thank you! The three questions (exact wording to copy): 1. Why did you choose [Your Dance School name]? ...this tells you what attracts new families. 2. Why have you stayed at [Your Dance School name]? ...this shows what keeps them coming back. 3. If you didn’t know us, what would you type into Google to find classes like ours?— ...these are the actual search words parents use. How to send it - Email: paste the intro + the three questions and ask people to reply. - Google Form: make three “short answer” questions. No sign-in needed. - Keep it anonymous if you like. Offer a tiny thank-you (eg. entry in a small prize draw) to lift response rates. Let me know if you sent it and what responses you received 👇
