Skills ready to Hermes
Hi everyone, There is a new Apify Actor that converts Apify Actors, API docs, GitHub repos, and OpenAPI specs into Hermes-ready skill packages. https://apify.com/solutionssmart/hermes-skill-builder-for-apify-apis It generates SKILL.md, manifest.json, input_schema.json, tool_call_contract.json, examples, test prompts, integration notes, and an optional ZIP package. For Apify Actor URLs, it also extracts verified schemas, run endpoints, conditional requirements, agent-safe field guidance, and cost-safety profiles. The goal is to make external tool integration more structured than loose markdown prompts.

A cheaper Google Maps scraper is available on Apify.
It is lightweight and faster as well and it extracts local business leads, place details, reviews, phones, websites, and includes lead scoring. The main focus is reducing compute cost compared with browser-based scraping. Link: https://apify.com/solutionssmart/fast-google-map-scraper Feedback is welcome from people doing lead gen, local SEO, or scraping workflows.

@Brendan Jowett Thanks, really appreciate the feedback. You’re absolutely right, for Fast Google Map Scraper, the goal is mainly to reduce scraping cost with a lightweight HTTP-first approach and provide useful first-level signals such as phone, website, reviews, ratings, and lead scoring. For deeper verification, there are other tools that can be added to the workflow. For example, email validation can be handled with a separate verifier like: https://apify.com/solutionssmart/bulk-email-verifier And if someone needs more accurate business checking, website inspection, or deeper enrichment, then a browser-based scraper can be more suitable because it can interact with websites more reliably. I also have heavier actors for this, such as: https://apify.com/solutionssmart/google-maps-lead-scraper or https://apify.com/solutionssmart/local-business-lead-finder The trade-off is cost: browser-based tools can provide deeper verification and enrichment, but they are more expensive to run. So I see Fast Google Map Scraper as the cheaper first step, and the heavier tools as optional validation/enrichment layers when accuracy matters more than cost.

Which Voice AI Platform?
Hey everyone, Just wanted to run a quick poll for our Voice AI Testing software Relyable. For those who are not using Vapi or Retell, which platform do you use? We will use this to gauge which platform to add support for next. Thank you! Brendan

Master the NEW OpenAI Agent Builder In 1 Hour!
OpenAI just dropped Agent Builder, and I’ve spent the last 18 hours learning everything about it. Here’s what I found: → Build AI agent flows visually on a drag-and-drop canvas (Voiceflow vibes) → Map, test, and iterate on full conversations using built-in nodes → The pre-made templates are gold, study them to see how OpenAI structures complete flows. I also just uploaded a 1-hour free course on YouTube showing: → How to open Agent Builder and create your first project → A tour of OpenAI’s templates (and when to use each) → A node-by-node walkthrough, inputs, routing, tool calls & memory → Building a full agent from scratch and testing it live This looks to be perfect if you’re building support bots, internal agents or anything customer facing. Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments (is this an n8n killer?)

I’m still interested in whether the agent can be built using a prompt within the tool, and whether it also supports a validation framework or tool.
