Eight months of infrastructure. Two weeks to simplify it.
Eight months ago, I started building what I thought orchestration required — N8N, Postgres, LibreChat, consulting and hosting fees. Tens of thousands of dollars. That was the right bet at the time. Nobody I saw was doing this with Claude yet. Three or four months ago, the game changed. And I didn't know it until I stumbled onto Jake's content on YouTube. Two weeks after watching "Stop Building AI Agents. Use This Folder System Instead", I have a working MCP. Client demo-ready. The whole system I was killing myself over? Markdown files and orchestration prompts. That's it. I want to give credit where it's due. Jake put something out that reoriented how I thought about AI. The investment wasn't wasted — it built the foundation. But Jake and this community pointed me toward what was actually possible now. If you're still building the complex version because you think you have to — it's worth a second look.

Similar thing happened to me. I was building some systems for my work starting last July. It was taking a while since I was doing it in my spare time, by November the technology had completely changed and all my work was obsolete. That's why it's good to be in a community like this. It's hard to keep up with the times otherwise.
Who's here? Drop your intro.
Tell us three things: 1. What you do (job, industry, student, career-changer, whatever) 2. What brought you to Clief Notes 3. One thing you're trying to figure out right now related to computing or AI I'll respond to every single one. And read each other's intros too because the person who's stuck on the same problem as you might already be in this thread. I'll go first I am Jake, I have been working in tech for 15 Years, building with Generative AI for 3 Years straight now! Excited to teach and learn! That's it. Simple, scannable, gives you data on who's joining and what they need, and keeps the feed clear for content that retains people past week one.

Hey I'm Fred. Nice to meet everyone. 1. Land development engineer, ~40 years in Central Texas. I run three businesses — horizontal development and entitlements, private money brokerage, and an out-of-state land flipping operation. Also host a weekly live energy facilitation series on Insight Timer. Solo practitioner across all of it. 2. Jake's folder architecture thesis. I've been building structured context systems across Claude, Gemini Gems, and NotebookLM for months — county-level regulatory references, client advisory systems, deal pipeline workflows. Watching Jake articulate why this approach beats custom agent builds confirmed I'm on the right track. 3. Reactivating content creation. I have deep domain knowledge in sustainable building systems and land development but the research-to-production pipeline has too much manual friction. Figuring out how to use Cowork's scheduled tasks and NotebookLM to automate the research layer so I can focus on the actual creative work.
