Invoking Claude from apps without API?
I’ve been working to build out processes with the folder structure method. The only downside I see is if people aren’t literate with using Claude and setting up projects or vs code etc. You can build custom front ends to interface with to make life easier but this typically requires api calls to invoke Claude this way. Is there a way to build apps or guis that call on Claude in a folder structure process to run without using APIs so subscriptions can be used?

I want to know the answer to this as well. We recently built an mcp server. There are files we upload behind the mcp for each client but we're still vectorizing the markdown files. Eventually I'm going to have about 30 clients and 20 different agents. I was just looking into claude organization plugins to distribute my agents and skills to our org but that doesn't help with our client files. It seems like Google Drive is still the best option but I'm not sure yet. For me I want my entire agency working from the same source of truth and that includes client context as well as agents and skills.
vibe-code-rules.md
So I haven't had the chance to dig into the classroom yet so I'm not sure if this is covered anywhere.. but this is my set of general vibe coding rules that I have been working on to use across all projects. This way I have a single "source of truth" for best practices to include on all builds and try to keep things clean. So far it has been working pretty well (from an amateurs perspective haha) and looking forward to stress testing it more. Please take it and use it for yourself if you don't have anything similar yet. Also, I would really appreciate any feedback from the more experienced devs/engineers in the group. 🙏 Edit for clarity: this doc is something I have been applying to all vibe coding projects. Not all projects in general. Another edit for clarity: I am just getting through Jake‘s ICM paper now along with the classroom material. I was not aware that he also refers to the claude.md as a global file to be handed off to the highest level orchestrating agent. This global.md would be better named something more specific and placed around layer 3 of the workflow (someone please correct me if I’m wrong). Anyways, hope this clears up any confusion there may be. Decided to change the name to vibe-code-rules.md for clarity =)

Good stuff in here, probably won't use as a global file but I go through my agents and see if I've forgotten anything.
Visualized my agent team
Decided to put some faces and names behind my agents after about 4 weeks in my folder structure. I'm about 3000 files deep and 300mb of markdown and text files. I've still only onboarded about half my clients into the system. I needed a way to visualize what had been built already and where my orchestrator was sending tasks. About half the agents have soul.md built into their instructions as well. This has been a fun project. https://collideascope.co/team/ai-team-roster.html Curious if anyone else has done anything similar.

@David Sanchez lets us know how it turns out.
Eduba Website Redesign
EDUBA @Kay K has had the challenging task to redesigning my Company website to fit the folder and Unix theme. It may seem odd at first but as you scroll down through the site you will see the influence of traditional and fundamental structures, the simplicity of it is what I love. Figured I would share this here and share his hard work as I love the idea of making a website folder based, because as you know, I love my folders. EDUBA

The folders are top notch. Very creative and on brand. Brilliantly executed.
Eight months of infrastructure. Two weeks to simplify it.
Eight months ago, I started building what I thought orchestration required — N8N, Postgres, LibreChat, consulting and hosting fees. Tens of thousands of dollars. That was the right bet at the time. Nobody I saw was doing this with Claude yet. Three or four months ago, the game changed. And I didn't know it until I stumbled onto Jake's content on YouTube. Two weeks after watching "Stop Building AI Agents. Use This Folder System Instead", I have a working MCP. Client demo-ready. The whole system I was killing myself over? Markdown files and orchestration prompts. That's it. I want to give credit where it's due. Jake put something out that reoriented how I thought about AI. The investment wasn't wasted — it built the foundation. But Jake and this community pointed me toward what was actually possible now. If you're still building the complex version because you think you have to — it's worth a second look.
