Paper finishes
Hi all, just a quick query, before the big frame update, we had gloss, matte and satin paper print options and those are still live on the PrintShrimp portal. How are people offering these now as both variations are required for frames and sizes? I know in June/July we should get a third variation which I will use for paper type but are we just checking with the buyer on every order?
FRAMES ARE LIVE - Everything You Need to Know!
Hey guys, Happy Thursday! We are thrilled to announce that we have FINALLY launched framed prints on PrintShrimp!! Those of you that have been around for a while honestly have probably given up hope, but I promise we have been working so hard behind the scenes to get these live 😆 Frames are available in 3 finishes (Oak, Black and White). All frames arrive ready to hang. Please view the attached pdfs for images and more details. So, what do you need to do? Obviously, frames don't automatically appear for sale on your Etsy shop. Before you start panicking about how much it will be to add frames to all of your listings - don't worry! We have built a couple of tools that allow you to add frames to all of your listings (and yes you can use them for free) These will create your listings so they are set up with variation options for Print Only Black Frame Oak Frame White Frame Attached is a screenshot of what your listings will look like after adding them with the tool Head to your portal and click on the new tab 'Frame Launch' Please please please watch the YouTube videos (and pay attention lol) that go through how to add frames to your shops. It's a simple process but there are a few things you need to do to add frames, and the videos explain it all to you very clearly. The two main things you need to do are: Edit your listings to have one SKU: For us to edit your listings and add frames, we need all of your listings to have one SKU per product. We have built a tool that will identify where your listings differ and clean them up for you. You will need to do this as step 1 if your products have multiple SKUs (i.e. an SKU for each size variation) Actually edit your listings to add framed variations: This is where the magic happens. You need to do a few things such as disable global and domestic pricing, so please watch the videos that details all of this. We have our recommended pricing built into the software that will apply to all of your listings, for frames and print only. This includes some modifications to print only recommended pricing we had before (which means higher profits for you guys compared to before). I have attached a guide with the new recommended pricing below! Here you can get a snapshot of the expected profits from selling frames! This is based on UK prices and accounts for UK VAT when charged and Etsy fees.

well done guys for getting this sorted. 👍💪 I just updated all my listings, and it was generally simple but I had two issues which I thought I would share. I followed the two videos and when I was uploading my listings I was getting an error code in red which said; “Edge Function returned a non-2xx status code” I tried a few times and my listings just wouldn’t upload. I re run the pricing change to £50 on Etsy and 9 of my listings were showing as corrupted so I deactivated them and then the upload worked fine! Hope this helps if someone hits the same issue! The second issue was my own schoolboy error! I forgot that about 24 of my listings are in square format so I shouldn’t have included these as they have now all updated to the sizes offered. Will there be a separate update coming for square prints and frames, or a price list so we can do these manually? Or are square frames not on the horizon for now? Thanks

@Tom Beeston thanks Tom, yes I rarely sell them so will adjust these separately

Bulk Updating
Hi All, I needed to use a bulk updating tool to add 8 variations to each of my listings. I am at 720 listings so adding 8 variations with 3 price profiles is going to take a while manually. I looked at the options and saw Vela and Evlista, and Evlista seemed to be the better option both price wise and the tools it said it offered. I decided to do one section (61 listings) after a couple of tutorials, and added the 8 variations following the tutorials. when I checked my listings, it had turned off global shipping and didn't add the variations! 4 hours later, and still not able to sort it out. My question is relating to Vela (or any other bulk editing tool suggestions welcome) as maybe I should have used this instead! In Vela, has anyone bulk uploaded variations and successfully completed the upload and not lost their global shipping profiles? In short, will Vela perform this task of bulk uploading 8 variations with three prices on global shipping UK, US and Everywhere else? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

I thought that might be the case after doing lots of googling after my mistake but was hoping. Oh well, looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me then :-) thanks for your response on this though, as I can crack on and not waste time looking for a shortcut! 🙂
Email bounce Back and Print sizes
I just sent a question in to Tom but the email bounced back so not sure if there is a fault on the emails. It said "the recipients email provider rejected it"! I just wanted to know if Printshrimp can print 30" x 50" or 20" x 40" which is what a customer (i think in the US) is asking. Thanks :-)
