😴Sleep = Brain & Body Nutrition
📚Dr. Heath’s Bedtime Stories Why Sleep Might Be Sabotaging Your Health & Weight Loss You’re not lazy. You’re not lacking willpower. You might just be lacking proper sleep hygiene 🧼 Studies show that sleep deprivation hijacks your hunger hormones—increasing ghrelin (hunger) and decreasing leptin (fullness)—leading to 200–500 more calories consumed per day. And that’s not all! Poor sleep habits: • Slow metabolism • Reduce insulin sensitivity • Slash fat loss by up to 55% during dieting 🛌 If you’re serious about better health, make sleep non-negotiable. 📆 7–9 hours (Pick One). Every night. No excuses. 💡 Sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s a weight loss and healthy body accelerator. Sweet Dreams 💤

Thanks for the reminder of the importance of sleep. Does the 7–9 hours have to be consecutive or can we break it up? For example sleep 5 hours at night and a 2 hour nap. (asking for a friend lol)

🧠 Mindset Check-In 💥
In this quote, Arnold wasn’t just talking about biceps—he was talking about beliefs. Most people quit before they’re actually done. Not because the body gives out… But because the mind taps out first. In the gym. In business. In life. 🔥 Today’s challenge: When you think you’ve hit your limit—pause. That’s not the end. That’s the edge of your current mindset. Push one thought further. Then move forward ➡️ What limiting belief do YOU need to push through TODAY? #MindsetMasterclass #TrainTheThinker #MentalEndurance #CognitionFirst

edit: How did (or do) you determine your "why" lol

@Liliana G Thank you for sharing that. It seems like the "why" is deeply tied to our priorities and goals.

Thanks for asking @Liliana G, In my simple mind I create this little movie in my head and the end result of that movie causes me some type of pain. That is where my fear comes from. My movie does not fit on the timeline of past, present and future; because it is still in my head. so I do think it's a valid statement because that has never happened before ( implying the past). I think fear can be “based” on past events but from my fear is possibly happening now (I think of George Carlin, " There is no present. There's only the immediate future and the recent past ." 😂 ) or i'm anticipating it happening in the future. I may have gotten booed off of stage before. But my fear comes from the '"anticipation" of getting booed “when” I perform. Even if I see a dog , after previously being bitten. my fear comes from that vision of the dog bitting me , which has never happened yet or previously. Just my thoughts I'll take 'Valid for $100 please, Alex. lol
🧠Simple Exercises to Train Your Brain:
Neuroplasticity = Your brain’s ability to rewire based on what you repeatedly do. Here are 4 science-backed ways to train it: 1. Juggling, Darts, Archery, Frisbee, Coordination Activities Builds gray matter in areas that track movement and space. Better hand-eye coordination = sharper thinking pathways. 2. Mindfulness Meditation Strengthens the brain’s focus center (prefrontal cortex) and quiets the mental chatter loop (default mode network). You lead your thoughts instead of following them. 3. Intermittent Fasting Boosts a brain fertilizer called BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), helps grow new brain cells, and cleans out cellular junk. Less fog, more clarity. 4. Intentional Exercise Increases the size of your hippocampus—the brain’s memory center. Cardio = brain upgrade. Neuroplasticity favors consistency over intensity. Pick one. Practice daily. Track your rewiring. #MindsetMasterclass | #Neuroplasticity | #TrainYourBrain ☝️Be sure to share this post with friends, family, followers on your other social media accounts.

Character-Based Living
☝️ Never REthink healthy decisions about UNhealthy things ⏱️ So many waste SO MUCH time REthinking healthy decisions about UNhealthy things. -Dishonesty -Unfaithfulness -Commitments -Eating Habits -Fitness -Addictions -Naughty Behaviors -Faith 🔑 The most important decisions in life should be made out of character BEFORE arriving at the situation where the decision is needed. Once you arrive at the decision intersection, there is no decision to be made for you’ve already made it in advance of your arrival. I don’t sit around wondering about telling the truth, being kind, lending a helping hand, whether I love my wife, whether she loves me, whether I should have an affair, whether to throw a tantrum, speak harshly, or whether or not God exists. I’ve ALREADY decided these things. No RETHINKING needed. 👊 Once the healthy decision is made, stick with it. Join the conversation in Mindset Masterclass on this important topic. Help others by sharing your thoughts , experiences, discoveries AND invite others in need of some mindset support to join our community 🙏 SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to @Cimone-Louise Fung for reminding me about the importance of this top level mental technique.

Great point, when we are the center of our own world, and we understand our resources—our time, energy, peace—we don’t waste them on debating decisions we’ve already made with wisdom and intention. AN UNNECESSARY INNER CONFLICT
