Happy Monday! What did you do this weekend?
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend?! What did you do? Unfortunately, my daughter passed the flu over to me 😷 But I was able to run my half-marathon before the symptoms kicked into high gear, so I did that! Tell us about your weekend!

Do you practice self-care on Sundays?
Happy Sunday, friends! How has your holiday weekend been going? As I write this post, it is still Sunday morning, I made the kids some oatmeal, and I'm trying to finish up some Christmas shopping (because it's about to be December 1st tomorrow 😳) I think Sundays are a great day to practice some self-care. Whether that is some sort of personal wellness routine you have, or getting organized and prepared for your week, or maybe you're a meal-prepper and Sundays are your prep day. How do you set your week up for success while practicing some self-care? Share with us in the comments! 👇

I work 7 days a week. However, Sundays are special. I make time for my son and fit my work around that. Woke up, had coffee. Watched the world sleep. Then came here on Skool to check on my community. Checked work emails. Ate breakfast with my 3 year old. Took him out on his bike to ride in the mud an water. Gave him a warm bath. now I am back doing my 45 min work sprint before lunch. Typical Sunday.

Why gratitude matters
Hello to this beautiful, growing community! First, I want that express my sincere gratitude to you for joining this new community group. I appreciate you being here while I'm setting things up and "opening the doors," so to speak. I have a lot of great plans and ideas, and I look forward to creating a space that helps you feel balanced and able to recharge for whatever life brings you. In the coming days, I'll begin sharing content and resources that support your journey in mindfulness and yoga. But in the meantime... Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the US. While this holiday has a long history, it has blossomed into a beautiful tradition of bringing people together and expressing gratitude for the things that matter most to us. Gratitude gets a lot of lip service this time of year. But I want to talk about what it actually does, not just in a fluffy “good vibes only” way, but in a real, physiological, nervous system-supporting way. Because when you’re juggling holiday plans, end-of-year deadlines, and daily life that’s already overflowing…“Be grateful” can sound more like a guilt trip than a lifeline. But here’s the truth: Gratitude, practiced intentionally, isn’t just about being polite or spiritually evolved. It’s a tool. A reset button. A way back to yourself. In this week's YouTube video, I talk about what happens when you build a habit of pausing for gratitude (even for 30 seconds). 👉 You can watch it here on YouTube now. (or check it out below!👇) Here’s the short list: ✅ You shift from chaos to calm ✅ You reconnect with you ✅ You make space for joy — right now So, what’s the takeaway? Gratitude is more than a mindset. It’s medicine. You don’t need to write a 3-page journal entry or feel blissed out every time. You just need a moment. A breath. A real reflection of what is going right. Try it now: - Close your eyes. - Take a slow breath in through your nose. - Think of one thing — simple or profound — that you’re truly grateful for.(And yes, you can be grateful for the same thing every day. That still counts.)

Shauna, this is solid. Most people talk about gratitude like it’s some cute holiday slogan. You’re actually breaking down how it works, and that matters. People don’t struggle with gratitude because they’re ungrateful. They struggle because life is loud. When you’re slammed with work, kids, holidays, bills, “be grateful” feels like someone handing you another chore. But the way you framed it? A 30-second pattern interrupt? That’s actually doable. That’s the game. Gratitude isn’t some big spiritual event. It's a reset. It's hitting the brakes before your brain spirals. And honestly, most people need that more than ever right now. So yeah, love this. Keep giving people simple stuff that actually helps, not the Instagram-version of mindfulness. Good work.

Hello everyone. I'm Eric from Houston, Texas. I'm a boy dad 3, 19, 20, 21(deceased), and 23. My 3 year old keeps me busy because he thinks he is ready for a full time job as garbage truck mechanic. (Thanks Blippi) My favorite outdoor activity is building fires in the winter outside, or camping in the summer time. Thanks for having me here.
