Introducing the QUICK HITS VAULT💥
Happy Friday! If you are looking to implement some yoga habits into your day, you need something that is QUICK! A quick movement practice, maybe a quick meditation or guided breathwork 😮‍💨. So I've compiled my existing library of 5-minute yoga sessions into a one-stop shop called the QUICK HITS VAULT Check it out in the classroom! I'd love to add more, so let me know what you'd like more of!

@Jenny Mccann Oh that's amazing! yes I love adding chair yoga or desk yoga to my day. I'll be sure to make more of those! So glad you liked it!
Flu-mageddon is finally over!
Hey friends! I have been a little MIA lately because we got struck with FLU-MAGEDDON, and I needed to prioritize my energy elsewhere. But I'm back and feeling WAY better! 🥳 Quick recap - My daughter got the flu the day before my husband was leaving town for about a week for work. And it was the same weekend I had a half-marathon. That was about 2 weeks ago. Fortunately, I had my mom and MIL here that weekend for help. But then I came down with the flu the day of my half-marathon. I was able to medicate myself well enough to finish the race (which I'm sure was inadvisable, and was very challenging, but I'm glad I finished!). That Monday, both kids seemed fine, so they went to school, and I was able to stay home and fully embrace the sickness - I mostly slept. Then on Tuesday, my son got sent home with a fever, my daughter was still struggling, and my MIL was now testing positive. It was a full-blown flu fest for the rest of the week. Fortunately, my husband got home and was able to avoid getting infected. Even when the flu officially passed, I have been dealing with sinus headaches all week. Until finally today, I am feeling like I'm back to 90%. I know they say the strain of flu going around this year is a tenacious one, and I can certainly attest to that! We are firm believers in vaccines, and I'm so glad we got them because I couldn't imagine it being any worse than it was. Anyway, that is probably the sickest I've been in quite a long time, and the highest fevers my kids have ever had so far. It was a little scary, and I'm so glad it's over! What have you guys been up to the past couple of weeks?! Anything exciting you want to share?!

@Jennifer Erving welcome Jennifer!! It’s so great to have you here!! That is so cool you’re an equestrian! It’s been a very long time but I have ridden horses and it is a magical experience ✨. I really hope to let my kids try it soon. Hikes are the best, though, too! Feel free to add a photo if you wish! Hope to see you on a live class or call soon!

@Jenny Mccann Hey Jenny, welcome! I'm so glad you joined us here! And happy early birthday! 🥳 I'm sorry to hear you had to have open-heart surgery, but it sounds like you are really thriving now, and I think that it is amazing that you're returning to your yoga, mindfulness, and meditation practice. My goal is for this group to ABSOLUTELY be a fantastic resource for you to feel motivated and inspired to maintain your self-care in those ways so you can thrive and be your best self for those you love. We are still small, but you're right, we're really getting to know each other, and I'm loving that so far. One of the perks of this group being small is I'm still adding a bunch of resources and I'm always looking to create things that help you all. So please don't be shy about what you want more (or less) of. It's great to have you!
Happy Monday! What did you do this weekend?
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend?! What did you do? Unfortunately, my daughter passed the flu over to me 😷 But I was able to run my half-marathon before the symptoms kicked into high gear, so I did that! Tell us about your weekend!
Happy Monday! What did you do this weekend?

Got a little Glow Up!
As I spend more time in this community, my intentions get more clear. I've updated a couple of things to reflect that and to better articulate the value that this group is building: - Name: Yoga Habits for Self-Care (added "habits" - read about it more in the Start Here course) - Description: Move your body. Quiet your mind. Reclaim your day. Practice quick, easy, and effective yoga habits to keep yourself balanced while achieving goals. - About Page description - Updated the Welcome: Start Here course to share the larger vision for where we're going. I'm working on adding some more things in the classroom, but I'll make a separate post about that. If you get the chance, please check those out and let me know if you have any questions or feedback! I hope I'm conveying my vision clearly, but I'd love to know if it's making sense and aligns with your intention to be in this group. Thanks again for being here during the construction! 🏗️🚧👷‍♀️ ~ Shauna
