I owe you an apology.... also a quick update!
Hey gang... it's been a while... sheesh, I am SORRY! I did not plan to go MIA from our group here, but I realize it's been sitting here dormant for the past month or so 🫣. A couple of new members have joined in the past couple of weeks, so I want to say WELCOME, and I'll try to reach out to you directly to say hi! But then I saw that one of the new members I admitted posted a spam post in the community here, 😒, so that person has been removed from the group. Sorry about that! That's the first time I've had to ban someone. I guess that stuff is bound to happen sometimes with online groups. But it is a bummer when it does! So just a quick personal update on why I've been AWOL... I started a new job at the end of Feb, and my son AND my husband have birthdays in March, so I was pretty busy between work and party planning. Oh, and we started a construction project to renovate our backyard. So it has been a BUSY month! I'm sure you've been doing stuff too! I'd love to hear how you've been! Please feel free to fill me in in the comments below! Stay tuned for more action around here! I had some things in the works before I got side-tracked, so I'm excited to pick those back up!

What is your #1 obstacle to practicing yoga everyday?
Based on our last poll, most of your are like me in that you WANT to practice yoga everyday but perhaps we don't quite hit the mark. I'm right there with you! I'm working on my own consistency. But I'd love to know what gets in your way? Select from the options below or add your own! When it comes to trying to build and everyday habit or add something to your regular routine, we've got to make it EASY - removing all the barriers and obstacles. So let's identify what is getting in our way and we'll work toward clearing the path toward that goal (not to say we'll ever be perfect, but we might be able to get 1% better 😉)

Weekly Intention Setting
Happy Monday!! One important theme within yoga is *intention*... What intention you have when you practice movement. What intention you have when you speak to yourself and others. What intention you have when you set your mind toward any goal or accomplishment. Intention is not the same as a *goal* - we are not trying to achieve some specific, measurable outcome within a specific time. I like to think of intentions as a desired feeling. I want to feel productive, accomplished, at peace, at ease, energized, satisfied, fulfilled...etc... When we know how we want to feel, we can design our habits and our tasks toward outcomes that help us feel that way. Note: We mustn't assign the feeling we desire to the specific outcome we think we want to achieve. The feeling should be attained by the actions of trying, not based on the specific outcome. We can be proud of our actions – the habits and systems we set up for ourselves, or the tasks that we accomplish – without achieving a SPECIFIC outcome. The outcome may differ. We should not be ATTACHED to the outcome itself, but the PROCESS of tying. So with that in mind... What is your INTENTION for this week? What desired feelings do you hope to achieve? How are you going to set up your habits, your tasks, your system of actions? It can be very difficult to answer this on the spot. So I invite you to take some time at the beginning of the week to get quiet and still and ask yourself... what feeling would make me feel proud of my accomplishments this week? Share below if you'd like some sort of accountability and to revisit this at the end of the week!
