The Paradox of Healing: Effort or Surrender?
As a psychotherapist I hear clients say I'm broken all the time. What if healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken or that a person is broken at all. Maybe it's more about remembering what’s whole? When you think about your own journey — the pain, the growth, the BREATH you take between both. Do you feel like healing is something you do, or something you allow? I’d love to hear your thoughts: Is healing an act of effort, surrender, or both?

Have a look at Sam Miller on her youtube channel The Mindful Gardener, She works with people recovering from MEcfs, but her work can be applied for anyone really. I would say the vast majority of people who write and speak about healing are saying surrender and allow, most healing work is about getting out of your own way. Though sadly a lot of it is whitewashed in the west, and repackaged for people to make money from. But all the ancient/original texts talk very clearly about this. Surrender and allow rather than do and fix!

The replays are in the 3 day workshop tab x
Thank you
Loved the experience today from my second time on the second day of the workshops. I gained a sense of peace and clarity with a difficult decision to let something go that's been a huge part of my life for a long time. After going through so many major painful losses over the past 5 years it's been extremely hard to allow myself to let go, but tonight in the practice I saw the peace and freedom in it. thank you once again for a profoundly important experience xxx
If you don't ask... 🤷‍♀️
I would love to do the 12 week training but have zero money going on. So I'm crossing everything for the chance of a partner pass from someone who may have one spare and be kind enough to gift it (If Soma+IQ allow this of course) I lost everything in the pandemic, including my home. And then after a series of horrible things (including loosing my mum and my dog) I've had to stop work due to getting MEcfs. So even the 5 monthly instalments are nearly double my income. I'm slowly getting better, but not in time to save my job, after spending a lifetime working in homelessness and addiction recovery, I'm now the one asking for help... So if anyone does have a partner pass going, I would pay it forward by using the skills to work with people in need, as this is what I've done my whole life. Sorry if anyone thinks this is a brazen ask, but if you feel drawn to something, you gotta try what you can to make it happen right xx🥰
