Kids Ministry Structure Question
Hey! Would anyone be willing to share a brief overview of how your Kids Ministry team is structured and what the different roles on your team look like? It would be incredibly helpful as we think through how to best support our staff, volunteers, and families. Can you also tell me how many kids you have on a Sunday? Thank you so much for your time and willingness to share. I truly appreciate it!

Hi Molly! At my campus I have around 75 kids on a Sunday and we do 2 services (1hr) at 9am and 11am. For both services I have a registration team (at the doors, helping with check in, tours, new guests, taking attendance, and greeting), nursery team (2-3 leaders, kids birth-age 2), preschool team (2-3 leaders, kids age 3-kindergarten), elementary team (3-4 leaders kids grades 1-4), and middle school team (2 adult leaders, kids grades 5-7). For my 9am service I have one helper for a room we call basecamp which is a hang out space that kids whose parents serve can go so they don't have to attend class twice. We have different people for each service because we have our leaders serve a service and attend a service. I run a 5 minute pre-service huddle 30 minutes before each service. I have 75 people on my team but a lot of them are tween/teen helpers and most people serve 2x a month. I always try to have two adults in a room when possible. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more details! :)
