Hey Molly! We have an average 160-170 Kids, birth-6th grade, with 3 services. We do our best to have 2 Volunteers at Check-In, and each service has a service captain roaming the halls, who is like an extension of the assistant director and me. Check-ing in on volunteers, grabbing extra materials if needed, helping with a crying baby, behavioral issues, prayer requests etc. Our volunteers are on A-weeks (1st&3rd) and B-Week (2nd&4th), and everyone gets the option to serve 5th Sundays. We do have some volunteers who serve every week, as well as multiple services. I all them to serve 2 services and attend a service themself. There must be at least 2 adults in every classroom and juniors who don't count towards ratios. Our Classrooms: 0-18months - 1:3 (max 9) 18-30months - 1:4 (max 16) 2.5-3yrs - 1:6 (max 18) 4-5 (Pre-k-Kinder) - 1:10 (max 40) 1st-4th Grade - 1:12 (max 48) 5-6th Grade - 1:12 (max 36) The max is set due to classroom space. When needed, we combine classrooms and adjust ratios.
