Embodying Happiness – Giving the New Year a Firm Footing
At the beginning of the year, we wish each other happiness. And often we hope that it will simply find us. But what if this year happiness is not something that happens, but something you consciously shape? Genuine happiness does not arise only from external circumstances or brief high moment. It shows itself where you feel alive, nourished, and supported, because you accept your life and align it with what is meaningful to you. Perhaps happiness begins exactly there, where you pauseand give your inner wisdom space again. Happiness often begins quietly. It shows itself in fleeting intuitions, inconspicuous signs. And it grows when we give it space, instead of forcing it. A New Year Impulse: Bringing the Dream to the Ground 1. Arriving Stand upright. Feel your feet on the ground. Direct your attention to your breath. Say inwardly: “I am here.” 2. Perceiving Close your eyes.Let an inner image emerge, not a goal, not a plan, but thatwhich wants to be lived this year. Do not ask why or how.Notice mindfully: what quality does this image carry?Give the image form, perhaps as a quick sketch or with all its details. 3. Embodying and Putting It into Words Place one hand on the place in your body where you feel it most clearly. Let words or a short sentence arise, in a way that feels right to you. Open your eyes. Take a conscious step into your lived happiness. Shift your weight completely. Speak your magic sentence out loud, into life. Pause for a moment. Breathe. Sense yourself and be present within yourself, here and now. Then take another step, forward, to the side, or backward, whatever fits for you right now. Perhaps that is enough for today. Tune in, reflect for yourself, and feel free to write it in the comments as well: -) What quality do I want to be accompanied by throughout this year? -) Where do I feel more ground beneath my feet right now? I wish you a year in which your happiness gains ground beneath your feet and wind beneath your wings!
