I recently came across a second hand Burberry Safari/ Bush Jacket that looks a little oversized on me. The sleeve length looks to be fine but the shoulder point (with epaulettes) looks oversized and arm hole is quite low. What do you guys think of this garment? I am sorry for now being able to take a better photo 😬 the mirror was blocked by a clothing rack

Good evening gentlemen, thank you all so much for teaching me about how a jacket should fit around the waist! I really learned a lot! I have been looking at more videos about the fit of suit and sports jackets, and I see that many of them mention only how they should look on the outside, and less about how they should feel around the shoulder area. Could I ask under the conditions that the jacket fit looks right on the outside, what is the range of motion of the shoulders? Should one be able to 1. Flex the shoulder blades front and back 2. Raise up their arm freely (provided that the arm holes are of a correct size) 3. Not feel any tightness in any region at all? Is it absolutely impossible that a allow a similar range of motion to a T-shirt or dress shirt?

Good evening gents, I am thinking of how I can sit down with a longer coat (longer than a suit jacket) in public transportation and on a traditional office chair with back support assuming that the coat must not be taken off. On public transportation, is it that one must sit on top of the coat? On an office chair, can one drape the coat behind the back of the chair?

Is it true that sports jackets are more commonly found in more relaxed fits when compared to suit jackets? I have not yet found a sports jacket that is a 'slim fit' or 'tailored fit' like that of a suit jacket... hmm

I not very hopeful about this, but I thought I'd ask anyhow. Is anyone familiar with a brand that makes fashionable (looks good with chinos, shirt, tie, and overcoat) winter footwear that could meet the following functional criteria: - Warm for up to an hour at -40C / 40 below F - Water resistant - Salt resistant - Can handle trudging through 16 inches of snow - Extra wide widths - Budget Friendly ~ $100 US / $150 CAD Like I said, I'm not very hopeful. I usually carry my good shoes to work in a bag but, because I take the bus, I'm frequently doing things like shopping, going out to dinner with friends, etc on my way home, so I'm not going to be swapping out of and carrying my outer footwear around in those situations.
