How I Get $1,000/mo Clients on Skool (No Following Required)
Most people treat Skool like LinkedIn - make content, slide into DMs, pitch your offer. I did the opposite and landed my first $1,000/mo client. No following. No cold outreach. No "hey, saw your comment" DMs. The counterintuitive part? I made them come to ME by doing the one thing most people skip. Broke down the whole method in the video below - it's probably not what you'd expect Curious if anyone else has tried something similar or if this sounds completely backwards to you?

Why Our community is ONLY an Annual Membership
Here on Skool, DBR Bookkeeping goes a little against the grain. Most communities offer a monthly rate. We don’t. DBR Bookkeeping is $499/year — and that’s intentional. Here’s why: You cannot build real financial confidence in 14 days. You cannot become a bookkeeping pro in 30 days. You cannot master QuickBooks in a few months. And we’ll never pretend you can. These skills take reps — real practice over time, with guidance, feedback, and support. That’s how entrepreneurs stop guessing… and start Doing Business Right. The DBR Bookkeeping community is built for people who think long-term — people who want to: • Strengthen their financial skills • Build confidence with QuickBooks • Clean up their systems • Make better business decisions • Grow without the constant feeling of “I hope I’m doing this right…” But here’s the best part: The reps are easy. Just 15–30 minutes a week. Not a full-time bookkeeping/QuickBooks course. Small, consistent actions that compound into real skill and real clarity. And yes — there’s a 7-day free trial. You can even earn $100 in credit just for completing the simple 7-day challenge. Honestly, I’m happy when people join, even for a short time. Get what you need. Ask your questions. Watch the videos. Strengthen your business. That alone is a win. But remember… Knowing how to fix something once is not mastery. Confidence comes from doing it again and again — until it feels natural. That’s the heart of Doing Business Right. And that’s why we’re annual. 👉 Check out the community and start your free trial today. Let’s start Doing Business Right! THIS! I’ve switched my 1:1 coaching to quarterly billing. It takes 90 days for people to get the big result and lots of people churn out if they don’t feel they’re making progress.
Never compete on price
I 100% agree. The client who picks the lowest bid is not the customer you want. They're probably terrible. They'll cause headaches to save a few hundred bucks. And the second they find someone cheaper, you're gone. You didn't lose that job. You dodged it. Count yourself lucky. Now you have the time to find the "good" clients. What actually wins work? Communication. Presentation. Relationship. The client who hires you because you answered the phone, showed up when you said you would, and explained things clearly. That's a client who comes back. That's a client who refers you. That's a client who doesn't nickel and dime every change order. Competing on price is a race to the bottom. You'll get there, and you'll hate it when you do. I've been there and it wasn't fun. Compete on trust instead. You'll make more while working less. Come to my community or DM me and we can discuss ways to make this work for you. Drafting Workshop

I think this meme kinda sums it all up
The CLASSIFIEDS Premium Tier - Everything You Need to Know!
If you are already on the Premium tier and want to know how to make the most of it, or are thinking about upgrading, here is everything you need to know... ⭐️ 🗞️ In the Standard tier, you can post in the community once a day in any category (except for days with a hashtag prompt, then you get an extra post!). There are two kinds of acceptable community posts: "anything" promoting your Skool group, or offers that are free (freebies, free workshops, podcast promotions, your own YouTube channel promotions). You can see the list of categories in the How It Works pinned post. These "rules" are for both standard and premium members. 🌟 🗞️ Now for the additional benefits for Premium members ($3/month or $33/year) 1. Premium members are allowed to put an "ad" in the classroom to advertise anything they want - free or paid. The ad stays up for as long as they are a premium member. Ads rotate weekly. 📰 You can place your ad by creating a draft course in your own community and then copying the course key and sending it to me to copy into the Classifieds. Course keys can be found by going to the thumbnail of the course in your classroom and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. 2. Premium members also have access to all live events on the calendar. This includes meetups twice a month (called the PERSONALS) and open drop-ins once a month. 📆 The meetups are structured and focus on improving your visibility as well as helping you make connections and foster collaboration. 3. Premium members also have the opportunity to host their own free masterclass for all members on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar. This gives you the chance to provide value to the members and then pitch your group or product at the end. 💵 In order to qualify to host a masterclass, you have to first take my How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass workshop ($27). The next one is being offered on January 6th with doors opening for registration January 2nd. After taking the prerequisite workshop, the first masterclass you offer is of no charge. Subsequent masterclasses that you would like to offer will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.

Why Your Client's Don't Listen To You (And How To Make Them)
Most business owners struggle to get clients to do what's needed to get a result. It isn't that they don't want to, they just haven't been primed to follow your direction. This video explains how I get more people to follow the instructions I give them. How do you handle difficult clients?
