Today marks the last day of our workshop for our session A folks. I hope you all got a ton of value from this and am looking forward to the next one. Comment your how you felt about this workshop. I am always looking for ways to improve this experience! Also on a scale of 1-4 how much more confident do you feel about takedowns

Had to force myself to sign up for this one, but I loved it and got a TON of value out of it. I feel like I have the tools necessary to keep drilling/practicing during live rounds and can continue to progress to Lugo level. Thank you again so much. Really appreciate your coaching.
UFC fight pass invitational!
Did anyone just watch that takedown from the body lock from Alex Enriquez?!?!

They are also talking about people being good at fly bys and I know what they are saying LOL
Wins and Loses....
Every time you step on the mat, you’re learning—whether it’s a hard-fought victory or a lesson from a tough round. Growth comes from both, and this community is here to help you level up! 🔹 Did you hit a slick submission or finally escape that tough position? Tell us about it! 🔹 Struggled with a position and not sure what went wrong? Drop your experience, and let’s break it down. 🔹 Have a question about a specific position, transition, or concept? Post it here! The more we share, the more we all grow. No egos, just progress and support—every roll, every round, every session. Let’s build each other up and sharpen our skills together. 💯🔥 Post your wins, losses, and questions below! 👇

When I have had the opportunity to be on the attack, my win/focus lately has been control over submission hunting. How long can I stay on top or on the back or follow the person as they continually try and escape? I feel like each week, I am progressing here and it feels good. Looking forward to continuing to work on this while incorporating the opportunities to hunt for submissions. As for escapes, I am terrified of leg locks. Mostly because I still don’t understand how to fully escape (outside of the basic ones). I have PTSD from tearing my ACL in my basketball career. My win here is that I used to tap as soon as someone caught my leg. I am now trying to slow down, breathe and escape. If I don’t know how, I tap and then talk it through with my partner.
Week 4 Closing
Hey guys! This week marks the closing of week 4. Sheeesh! Crazy how we have already completed over 66% of this course. We still have 2 weeks left for session A! Session B Folks, remember we are reviewing high crotches & throwbys. Plus we will be doing our first minor throw. Next week will be a doozy. Remember to practice those break falls!! You are gonna need it. 😈👊 See you guys on the mats!

I just saw this on Threads. Before Wednesday, I wouldn’t have understood. Now, I do! 😂
Week 3....Half way there!!!!
I can't believe we are already halfway through our workshop. I hope you guys are getting a ton of value and are enjoying your experience so far. Put in the comments some of your success in your training! This week will primarily be a ton of review and drills to cement what we know. I will be recording the remaining content today and will have that for you guys this week. these will include the loop choke variants, uchi-mata, ankle pick, Fireman's carry, and ude-gesh techniques :) Also on a scale 1 - 4, how is your comfort level on the feet at this point in our workshop.

I feel so much better with trying to move people around on my terms and love the loop choke options. Would love to hone in a bit on the footwork with the uchi mata. Tripping myself up a lot LOL

I was just about to say the same thing, @Amy Rivait !! Today was soooooo helpful. I feel like I was in a video game and things unlocked. Would love to spend the 2-3 minutes each on every move we’ve learned to continue drilling it into my brain and body. THANK YOU @Michael Lugo
