Reddit Thread - Why Do American Men Dress Poorly
Thought this thread might be of interest to the group. I think there's a lot of sentiment I used to believe captured in the comments. There does seem to be a fair amount of social resistance and some folks even wondering what you would wear on a hot day or on vacation! Link

Are Loafers Now Cool?
I did a search to see if this article had been discussed. Didn't see anything but then, how do you get the search to show the newest results first? That said, have the younger crowd ditched sneakers and rediscovered loafers as stylish? "The Loafer’s Big Generational Shift" https://www.esquire.com/style/mens-fashion/a70333866/loafer-generational-shift-trend-2026/ "“About 18 months ago we noticed the big fashion brands started to delete sneakers from their runway shows.” he (British shoemaker Tim Little) told me (the author of the article Nick Sullivan) over a steak au poivre at our seasonal and very unfashionable haunt in Bastille one night. “At the same time, we started hearing from our retailers that our youngest customers were bypassing sneakers in growing numbers and asking what they could get for their budget that—specifically—wasn’t sneakers.” Trends have their lifespan, of course. For Little this was something else. “I think it’s also partly fatigue” he told me. “As if that younger generation has grown tired of the endless drop culture in sneakers and maybe even a sense of nostalgia for a time—at least in their minds—when style wasn’t constantly being shilled at them. Buying shoes that will last past six months is an appealing way to escape that endless fast-fashion cycle.” --- I haven't bought a pair yet, but they are on my radar in the thrift store runs.

I always thought they were a staple of ivy style. That said, I have seen several younger youtubers pop up in my feed recently so maybe more preppy styles are coming back in along with loafers. I hope that means everybody is getting their Nantucket Reds out for the spring. :)
Questions about undershirts.
I wear a lot of short sleeve button up shirts at work. I've started wearing undershirts again and sometimes they peek out in the sleeve section. I'm tempted to get some sleeveless undershirts but I worry about my arm pits getting a little sweaty and there being nothing to absorb that. What do you all recommend? Just wear antiperspirant or is there a type of undershirt with a shorter sleeve without being sleeveless you all recommend? Thank you and I hope you all are having a great Monday!

I use Underfit nudes. They’re long which has been my issues, so they don’t pop out the back. No issues with them staying under a short sleeve shirt for me.
Is this watch too big?
Ordered this basic dress watch from Jomashop because I liked the way it looked (and it was cheap). I think it looks a little big. My wrist size is about 6.25" and the watch is 42mm diameter with lug-to-lug distance of about 49mm.

Personally, I think it's too big. At that wrist size, I would say a 38mm would fit better. Of course, it's not always about the case size, lug to lug is a consideration. Based on the pictures, it looks like the lugs are overhanging your wrist more than you'd want.
IWC Pilot Watches
Gents I need some advice. I'm torn between two pilot watches and I need some help deciding. I really like the Big Pilot 43 (the one below on the right with the strap). The problem is that it comes in at 43mm and I have fairly small wrists. I also would get it on a bracelet, not the strap as pictured. So my option is to then get the Mark XX (below on the left). I'm not crazy about the date window and I really like the oversized crown on the 43. My question is how do you feel about a slightly oversized watch?

To me the Mark XX is the definitive IWC watch. I think you have to work within the limitations of what fits properly on your wrist. Are you dead set on IWC? There's a ton of good, colorful pilot watches. I have a Stowa Flieger Classic (they also make one in Sunray green). They've also got a long history in this space, as well. Oris also re-did their Pro Pilot lineup recently as well. I don't think you should compromise when it comes to that kind of $$$.
