Armaf's Odyssey Mega Man
Ive had this one for a few months now, and its the best blind buy purchase ive ever made! I had been waiting for a good deal on Y, and this clone came on sale first, so i thought id try it... Its a total banger! The opening isnt exactly Y edp, but its pleasant enough and the dry down is a near perfect replica. The beer coozie bottle isn't very sexy, and the giant plastic thermos lid cap leaves something to be desired... but the juice is perfect, and the atomizer is fine. I did finally find a deal on YSL and ended up buying the new Y Iced. I put Mega on one arm and Y Iced on the other, after 6 hrs they were lasting and projecting equally well. (Above average, but not beastmode.) In short, the only thing to complain about Mega is the aesthetics of the bottle. For about 1/4 the price of Y EDP, Odyssey Mega is a solid choice for any fragrance value hunter.

@Tc Tc sounds right. I paid $26-27 Canadian. Get a bottle and thank me later.
9pm Night Out revisited
This was a blind buy, door crasher sale purchase. I think i paid $25-30 CAD. I originally hated it and considered giving it away, but after letting it sit for a month, it got much better. Although it's still my least favorite fragrance in my collection. I can now enjoy wearing it when the occasion suits. Its a unique, sweet, and linear scent. Very powerful and long lasting! This is my worst blind buy experience, and all things considered, its still pretty good. (The experience was worth the price of admission, for me.)

What are your top budget picks that are fantastic to wear?
I thought it would be fun and helpful for anyone just getting started / on a limited budget in this hobby for us to start a thread on top budget picks: anything you can find that’s at least 50ml for $50 and under. This doesn’t have to just include ME brands or clones, it can also include designers you can find at discounters. These should be bangers you actually love to wear that offer fantastic value for the price! Here are some that I’ve come across that I’m so glad to have in my collection: - Fragrance World Star Man Nebula - Versace Man Eau Fraiche - Lalique Ombre Noire - Jimmy Choo Man Ice - Rayhaan Aquatica - Givenchy Gentlemen Only

Armaf's Odyssey Mega Man is a great budget pick / Y EDP clone. French Avenue's Aether Extrait is a fantastic, low cost, PDM Greenley clone. Drakkar Noir is always good, and always cheap. Swiss Arabian's Shaghaf Oud is an amazing saffron / rose / oud blend. Davidoff's Cool Water is an inexpensive classic. Ive picked up all these for around $30 CAD each, but i wait for a good bargain.
An accidental blend that works
I picked up a few less expensive fragrances this month. 1st is Armaf's Odyssey Mega (YSL Y clone) I was wearing it yesterday when I accidentally sprayed Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud on me (atomizer was facing the opposite of where i thought it was) It was actually a really interesting blend. 2 very different scents somehow compliment each other very well. Today, im intentionally wearing them together. 4 shots of Mega, to 1 shot Oud. Its a unique fresh / oriental hybrid.
Room 1015 Sweet Leaf
I continue pulling out my hot weather frags and seeing whats coming to the Caribbean with me. Room 1015's Sweet Leaf is definitely coming on vacation. The cannabis note in here is something most people get wrong. Its a synthetic interpretation of a live growing cannabis plant, not the skunky smell of the smoke or flower. Growing cannabis is a very fresh and invigorating aroma. The grapefruit note is pronounced giving it a citrus / herbal scent that's very unique. Dont let the cannabis note turn you off of this. Its a great fresh frag, perfect for spring and summer!
