When someone acts ugly; bullying, manipulation, lies, belittling, character assassination, ridicule etc., it comes from a deep, dark place within them. Being the receiver of all of this is beyond heartbreaking 💔 but to utter those words and to behave in that manor, all through choice, there has to be a deep pain inside to fuel these heinous actions. It’s hard to not take it all personal when it’s aimed directly at you. Sadly, even now I still occasionally fail. On days when I’m tired, or feeling not so good, the memories of all the above flood back with vengeance and bring me to my knees and the tears won’t stop… I cry for the pain deep inside me but I also cry for the pain deep within them that drives them to “want” to actively hurt me…. Each day is new and I breathe, I pray and I hope 🦋
