Leads Are NOT All Created Equal (And Neither Are Clients)
Let’s get real for a second: Leads ain’t leads ain’t leads. Not all leads are equal. Not all clients are equal. And if you treat them like they are, you’re setting yourself up for a world of pain. Dial in the right market segment. 3. Go deep on the right niche (and sub-niche). This is non-negotiable if you want to win. Here’s where most PPL agencies screw it up: They chase the same “leads” as every other agency and every big lead-gen shop (think Leadify, etc). Everyone piles into “homeloan refinance” because it looks easy. “Everyone else is doing it, how hard can it be?” Spoiler: That’s a race to the bottom. You end up fighting on price, slashing your margins, and working your ass off for scraps. Worse: Clicks are easy to get. But clicks cost you money. And most of those “leads” are just tire-kickers. They want to know the best rate, or what their house is worth. They’re not buyers. They’re not refinancing. They’re a giant waste of your time, energy, and ad budget. So why would you go through all the effort of building a brand, running ads, and setting up funnels… …if you’re just going to chase the same low-quality leads as everyone else? You need to offer something different. Something buyers actually want.
