Metabolic Health
✅ Comment YES if you’re excited to fuel your body a little more this month and are ready to learn about metabolic health! “It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the spring who reaps a harvest in the autumn.” ~ B.C. Forbes It’s the first Monday of March, and spring is just around the corner, friends 🌸 As the quote reminds us, the habits and choices you plant now will shape how you feel for the rest of the year. Simply put—what you do today matters. Coming out of winter, many of us naturally focused on simplifying, resetting, and pulling back a bit. That can be a really supportive season. But just like nature doesn’t stay in winter forever, our bodies aren’t meant to live in a constant “pull-back” mode either. Spring is about renewal, energy, and gentle expansion 🌱 It’s a time to support your metabolism, hormones, and nervous system so your body feels safe, energized, and strong—not burned out or depleted. This month, we’re intentionally adding a bit more support and nourishment to match our training and recovery—especially as we focus on building strength. Think of this as setting the foundation for sustainable energy, resilience, and long-term progress. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be diving deeper into metabolic health—what it actually means, how it’s impacted by stress, under-fueling, sleep, movement, and mindset, and how to support it without extremes or confusion. There’s so much noise out there—but you deserve clarity and confidence when it comes to caring for your body 💛 It’s going to be an incredible few weeks, and you’re going to feel more empowered, more informed, and more in tune with your body than ever 🙌🌷

Yes 💗
Your Body is a Tool
TAKING ACTION: ✅ Tell us one reason you choose to care for your body that has nothing to do with appearance. Let’s celebrate what our bodies do for us! “I think about my body as a tool to do the stuff I need to do, but not the be-all and end-all of my existence.” ~Lena Dunham I love this quote. For far too long, we’ve been conditioned to believe our bodies are supposed to look a certain way. One of the problems with this is the fact that the standards are always changing. “Skinny is in.” “Feminine, soft bodies are in.” “Strong is in.” “Nevermind, skinny is back in.” It’s maddening, isn’t it? The truth is this ➡️ Healthy is always in. And “healthy” doesn’t have one specific look. As long as we are caring for our bodies through wholesome nutrition and exercise, that’s what matters, friends. When you take steps that prove you love yourself, you actually begin to love yourself, regardless of your body shape or size. 💯 As the quote says above—your body shape/size isn’t the end-all, be-all. Your body is a tool so you can live the life you want to live!

I take care of my body so I can hopefully live a long healthy life for my boys. It is my Main reason.
You Can’t Hate Yourself Happy
TAKING ACTION: ✅ After reading today’s post, have you noticed a change in how you perceive your body since beginning this journey? “You can’t hate yourself happy. You can’t criticize yourself thin. You can’t shame yourself worthy. Real change begins with self-love and self-care. ~Jessica Ortner I want you to re-read the quote above. Now re-read the last sentence 👉 “Real change begins with self-love and self-care.” When it comes to self-care, I don’t mean your monthly mani/pedi appointment or your favorite Starbucks run. Those things can be great, but real self-care is when you take action toward taking care of your body. We’ve been talking about body image all week, and have covered a few tips for overcoming the negative perceptions or thoughts regarding our bodies. But did you know that real self-care—living a healthy lifestyle—also improves your relationship with your body? 💯 Research says that living a healthy lifestyle—particularly one that includes regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and other positive habits—can often help improve body image issues; the caveat here is that your WHY needs to be deeper than appearance alone. Your decision to eat healthy and exercise needs to be because you deeply care for your body—its overall health, function, and future. The good news is that you’ve found the right lifestyle to support you. We focus on healthy, sustainable strategies that aren’t just about weight loss. We’re about comprehensive health, and I hope that if you’ve ever struggled with body image issues, those have improved along the way!

I'm working on this for the past 5 years I have put everyone first and wore myself down physically and emotionally without even knowing even if it's just 10 minutes I have been learning to give it to myself bc it make everything around better for me, my family my work, if I have to sleep ill do it, if I need to just do a extra 10 min at night beauty relaxing routine I'll make myself do it instead of cleaning those 10 min. Self care is so important got to at least sneak it in or it wears you down without realizing
What Does Metabolism Really Mean? ⬇️
TAKING ACTION: ✅ Did you know the difference between metabolism and metabolic health before today? Share with us! If you’re like the majority, when you hear the word “metabolism”, you immediately think of how quickly and/or efficiently your body can burn fat; however, did you know that your metabolic health encompasses much more than just your metabolism? We’re going to talk about ways to improve both, but first, it’s important to understand these two terms and why they’re important. 💯 According to Metabolic health: What does it really mean, and why is it so important – Prolon Life, 👉“Metabolism is the complex of chemical processes in your body that convert food into energy. These always-on processes keep your body alive and functioning, powering everything from breathing and digestion to cellular repair and brain activity. While metabolism includes how your body burns calories, it’s not just about weight—it’s the entire system that fuels and regulates how your body works. 👉Metabolic health refers to how well those metabolic processes are working. It’s typically measured by indicators like blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and waist circumference. Good metabolic health means your body is efficiently managing energy and maintaining balance without needing medical intervention.” In short, your metabolism consists of processes that keep your body alive and functioning. Metabolic health determines how well the processes work. Both are important when it comes to your body’s ability to burn fat and your overall health. 👌

NEAT Activities
TAKING ACTION: ✅ On a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being “low activity” and 10 being “high activity”), where do you think your NEAT falls on average? So far, we’ve learned more about what metabolism is responsible for and how your nutritional, fitness, and rest/sleeping habits affect it. Since there are only certain things we can control when it comes to our metabolisms, it makes sense that we should lean into nurturing those things. Another thing you can do for better metabolic health is simply to move your body more. Compared to our ancestors, our lives are highly sedentary. Even many consistent gym-goers have sedentary jobs where much of their movement is confined to a 30-minute sweat sesh. While planned workouts are great, the other 23.5 hours of the day affect the health of your metabolism even more. 💯 In short, you gotta move more throughout the day. 🚶‍♀️ You’ve probably heard of NEAT before (non-exercise activity thermogenesis). NEAT is the energy you expend or use while completing all of your daily activities other than planned exercise. Some different forms of NEAT are: 🚶‍♀️ Taking the stairs or parking farther away. 🚶‍♀️ Playing with your kids. 🚶‍♀️ Laundry, vacuuming, or any other chores that require movement. 🚶‍♀️ Walking the dog. 🚶‍♀️ Take brisk walks around your office during work breaks. NEAT activities are endless and don’t require much thought/decision-making. When it comes to improving your metabolic health, NEAT can be your best friend! 💯 Want to learn more about NEAT?
