Opinions on fragrance discounters
Hello everyone, happy Halloween🎃🎃 I have been thinking about expanding my tiny fragrance collection and have just discovered online fragrance discounters. Do any of you have experience shopping on those sites? Are the fragrance authentic and is the chance of leakage high during the shipping process? I am located in Canada so the site I will likely choose is Fragrancebuy. Do any of you have experience shopping there? Thank you very much for your time 😁😁

@Jadon Anderson Seconded, scentbird is a fantastic way to try a new scent with very little investment.
Real Men Real Style
What’s one style habit or grooming routine that you’ve adopted over the years that has had the biggest impact on how you present yourself?

@Ron C This is not on style but a great movie quote from the original Transporter movie. "I always say, the way a man treats his car is how he treats himself." In that respect, the way we dress, act, and present ourself to the world, is a reflection of who we are on the inside. With that said, I've found consistently keeping a trimmed beard and fresh haircut at least once every month is an easy way to look clean.

@Caldwell Corey I prefer to stick with one barber, had an amazing one down in Orlando, moved to Texas (Dallas suburbs), found one, they retired, and finally found another great barber. Luckily I'll have him for at least 5 years. As a guy finding certain things such as having your one barber, tailor, bartender, concierge, (key to the city person) in ones contacts can really expand your life for the better. What about you? Do you stick to one barber? If you travel, how do you feel about testing out the local talent in the skilled trades? I've heard some great things about sidewalk barbers, shavers, and such.
Cleaning accessories
How do you all clean accessories (mainly belts and wallets) without ruining the quality? For those that might get a bit sweaty with them. Any recommendations on shoe racks or tree inserts to help keep shoes smelling clean? I have used the little scent balls you find in shoe/athletic stores to try and keep the smell abated.
Being Well Read
Good morning gentlemen, Know with this journey that we are on we find that people notice us more and more. These people when they see you; the way you dress, the way you carry yourself, how you open doors for people, the kind gestures you show. But they also expect you to be knowledgeable in current events, in your career, in family matters. Yes style, confidence, chivalry, these are all nice to have but they also have some level of expectations of you to be knowledgeable of certain things. Things like current events, knowledge of your craft in your career. There is nothing more disappointing than for a well dressed person to not have a clue about current events or knowledge of their craft. Why is this important? Because when events happen, situations, problems, they are almost always going to look for someone who looks like they are in authority, someone that knows what they are doing, or can handle situation. Trust me when people walk into a place they scope to see who is in charge or who looks like they know what they are doing. I cannot tell you when I have been in places and there is a situation and people would automatically come to me, and I am like “ I’m sorry I’m not in charge of this.” Or when someone is talking about current events, they will look at me and say” so what do you think about this? Or what is your perspective on this?” Gentlemen, I encourage you to be knowledgeable of current situations, events, and in your work environment, your craft and the companies policies, procedures, and practices. You will see the respect you will receive, and you will become a person that people will look up to. Now, gentlemen, I’m not saying you have to take what you see or read on the news as facts or everything you hear or read as gold, what I am saying is know what going on around you. This could also help you avoid certain situations at work , in your community, or in general.Keep up on current events, your career and industry advancements and policies. This way when you’re approached you are well read and well versed in the discussions that are around you.

To add to this, for those that might be a bit tight on time, find yourself news outlets, and other legitimate sources to gather info via daily or weekly emails. For travel I use outside of loyalty airlines, Daily Passport for generalized info, Agoda deals (think of another Experian but focused on Asian countries), Tim Ferriss (author of Tools of Titans, Tribe of Mentors, and most famously The 4-hour work week), giving you a weekly email on Friday's with just 5 bullet points of info.
Starting to take beard care more seriously lately.
First thing on my list is a good beard oil — and I’m doing some research before I pick one. I want to understand what oils actually make the biggest difference for growth, thickness, hydration, control, and smoothness. Any ingredients you guys recommend or personally noticed results from? Also curious — what do you prefer scent-wise? Something natural like coconut or argan, or more of a fragrance-style scent that feels like a light perfume?

I've found the product Everyman Jack beard oil with Sandalwood scent really good. Only need a drop or two depending on the thickness of your beard. Scent doesn't over power and stays on for a few hours.
