Motivation
Hi all. I told Russ that I was going to start on Monday just gone. I didn't. I work so much at my job and push through back pain that when I get home and do the mum stuff for the kids, I am buggered. I am thinking of forfeiting my meditation time in the morning for Pilates. What do you all think?
I'm Sorry!
Other than ticking over in here for the last couple of months, running this free group has taken a bit of a back seat if I'm honest. And doesn't it show! Like a ghost town in here 👻 So I'm going to get back in to the groove of showing up regularly - not with all the answers, as I don't have them, but hopefully to grow this community and boost the support, engagement, and results people get from being here. What is your number one struggle right now and what do you think might help? let us know in the comments what's going on, what you think you may need to do to make progress - and lets make a plan for you to get some success. Everything worthwhile takes time. It was 9 months of Pilates before I started lifting weights properly again, and a year before I picked up the rugby ball. Dabbling for a few weeks and bailing out is not going to get you results. A progressive plan while assessing and improving your overall lifestyle habits will make for huge change. Most people know what they need to do really, it's just doing it. No one is going to save you, other than you 🫵 So let's go!
I'm Sorry!

Hi Russ. Welcome to the 40's, lol. My biggest concern is undoing the damage that my job is doing to my back and hips. I look after a 5 year old boy with severe disabilities and he is heavy. He does not weight bare at all so lifting him is tough but the hardest on my body is when he is not tolerating his wheelchair, which is often as he is fully strapped in. At this point I have to put him on my left leg whilst sitting. Sometimes for hours at a time. I look after him about 30 hours per week. I love my client and my job. I need to release the pressure in my hips and lower back. I have two bulging discs in L4/5 that are pressing on my nerves down my legs.

Wow. Thank you Russ. I didn't expect a reply let alone advice. Thank you again. I will be starting the beginning course on Monday as I have a 12 hour shift tomorrow.
Query about doing a challenge
Hi Russ. I was just wondering if you were planning to do another challenge anytime soon?

How is this program going Russ??
Support
Hello all I’ve been doing short Pilates sessions every day for months now and I’ve definitely seen massive improvements but the past few days I’m mentally struggling and my ego is giving me shit that it’s not working. I think I just need some words of encouragement from you guys to help push me through this little plateau. I hope you’re all doing well. Keep up with your good work.
