✨ Day 17 - Kumbhaka: The Alchemy of the Pause ✨
In yogic science, Kumbhaka is the conscious pause between breaths. It is not an absence - it is a potent space of transformation. When approached skillfully, kumbhaka becomes a powerful form of hormetic stress - a small, intentional stressor that strengthens the system rather than overwhelms it. 🌱 Hormetic Stress - The Sweet Spot Growth does not happen in comfort alone, nor in overwhelm. It happens in the sweet spot between the two. Too little stress and the system stagnates. Too much stress and the system contracts. Kumbhaka invites us into this fertile middle ground - where the body, nervous system, and mind adapt, regulate, and expand their capacity. 🌬 Carbon Dioxide Tolerance & Nervous System Resilience During breath retention and extended exhalation, carbon dioxide levels gently rise in the body. This is not dangerous when practiced correctly - it's empowering . As CO₂ tolerance increases, the nervous system learns: Safety in stillness Calm within intensity Presence without panic Practices like kumbhaka and lengthened exhalation - as in Bhramari Pranayama - train this capacity directly. 🧠 Widening the Window of Tolerance By increasing CO₂ tolerance, we widen our window of tolerance for stress. This means: We react less We recover faster We stay present under pressure What once felt overwhelming becomes workable. What once triggered contraction becomes an invitation to remain. ✨ From Regulation to Bliss When the nervous system is resilient, awareness stabilizes. When awareness stabilizes, Bliss becomes accessible. Not because life is easy - but because you are resourced. Each conscious pause rewires your relationship with stress. Each skillful breath makes Bliss more familiar. 🔹 Your Focus Today Meet kumbhaka with curiosity, not force. Stay within the edge that feels challenging yet safe. Share a reflection of your experience and relationship with kumbhaka, and how it may have changed through this challenge. This is where growth happens. This is where freedom is trained.

I was in a Crystal shop yesterday in Waihi, a fight broke out with 2 women about parking to close and blocked in. Arguing in the shop the store owner kicked them out. (She cleared their negative energy straight away with bells). I watched and stood back as not to take on their anger. Breathed.. then went home with my lovely new oracle cards. Happy CNY.. 🐎.. I will not be pulled into other peoples drama.. 🙏🏼 (A lesson I’ve learned the hard way in the past) Bernie ✨
✨ Day 12 - Forgiveness as Liberation ✨
Forgiveness is not about excusing or forgetting. It is about freeing yourself. When forgiveness is withheld, we remain bound to past experiences through samskara - subtle impressions that continue to shape identity, emotion, and behavior. To forgive is to loosen the grip of these imprints and return to who we truly are. 🌀 Forgiveness, Samskara & Identity Samskara are often stored in the emotional body, shaping the ego identity and the stories we carry about ourselves and others. Unforgiven experiences keep us anchored in the past, reinforcing patterns of fear, protection, and separation. Forgiveness allows these patterns to surface, soften, and dissolve. 🌊 Ho'oponopono & Swadhisthana Chakra The practice of Ho'oponopono is a powerful tool for clearing emotional memory and restoring inner harmony. Its four simple phrases - I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. - speak directly to the layers where samskara reside. This practice deeply influences Swadhisthana Chakra, the energetic center associated with: • Identity and sense of self • Emotions and relational memory • Creativity, flow, and intimacy As this center clears, we reconnect with emotional fluidity and self-acceptance, creating space for the authentic self to emerge. ✨ Forgiveness & the Higher Self When forgiveness is embodied, we naturally operate in alignment with our higher self. We respond rather than react. We act from compassion instead of contraction. We move closer to Dharma - living in congruence with intuition, truth, and right action. This is not a mental process. It is an energetic release. 🔹 Reflection & Sharing Invitation After your Ho'oponopono practice today, take a moment to notice: What emotions surfaced? What memories or sensations arose? Where do you feel more space, softness, or clarity? 💬 Share your reflections in the comments if it feels supportive. Your honesty may help unlock something for another. Forgiveness is not weakness. It is one of the most powerful acts of self-love.

Not easy, trying to forgive myself.. have a cold this week. Having to slow down, but the pain resurfaces.. ❤️
✨ Day 6 - Pause, Reflect, Integrate ✨
As we arrive at the close of our first week, today invites you to slow down and listen. Not to the noise. But to the quiet voice within that’s been getting clearer with each practice. This is a day for integration - where insight begins to settle into wisdom. 🔮 Reflection Prompts Take a few unrushed moments with your journal and reflect: 🌀 What is my intuition highlighting as an area for growth right now? What feels ready to be seen, softened, or strengthened. 🤍 How is this container supporting me? Where do you feel held, encouraged, or expanded through this shared space. 🌱 How will I integrate what I’m learning into next week? What feels sustainable, nourishing, and aligned moving forward. There are no right answers - only honest noticing. 🔁 Revisit Your Resolve With our live check-in tomorrow, today is a beautiful moment to reconnect with our original intentions for being here. Return to that spirit of curious exploration. Release pressure. Re-open to discovery. This path is about uncovering your potential -not forcing it. 🔔 Invitation for Tomorrow ✨ Commit now to showing up present, fresh, and open ✨ Bring a notebook or journal and a pen ✨ Come ready to listen, reflect, and share from the heart The more you surrender, the more you’ll receive. Let today be the bridge between experience and embodiment. Grow and contribute. Contribute and grow. Stay Blissed, Adam 🌬️🍃✨🤍

I have not had a moment to journal, as my daughter started back to school this week. But I have taken more deep breaths and finding pockets of time to step back and re-centre. I have found this week hard. My mind wants to do more, but my body is adjusting and demands a slower pace. Bernie ❤️
