START HERE! Make Your First Post & Watch the Video
Hey there! Welcome to the Teacherpreneur Support Network! @Michael Landry , @Leonardo Gomes and I are excited to have you here. Over the past half decade, we’ve surveyed thousands of teachers from around the world, and there are two things they are passionate about: finding news ways to improve their teaching and having a steady income. These combined play a major role in teacher wellbeing, and the main goal of this community is to help you develop in both of these areas. To kick things off, Step 1: Make your first post HERE by using the template below: Let everyone know: 1. Your name 2. Why you joined this community 3. Your business goal for the next 30 days 4. What you're looking for help with in this community. Step 2: Learn how to get unstuck & set up your foundations - start with Module 1 here. *See Step 3 below _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The goal of this network is to help YOU and other aspiring teacherpreneurs feel confident in setting up their teaching businesses the right way. Watch the video below, answer the poll, and introduce yourself as an orientation to the platform and this community. The community here will be what we all make it. Let's not consume passively but rather contribute actively, build accountability, and help each other along the way. Some ways to do this: - make useful posts consistently - share tips that have worked for you - ask good questions - offer advice to those you believe you can help One thing is for sure: everyone here wants to see YOU succeed. STEP 3 RESOURCES: Everyone is at a different stage of their business, and we have resources here to help you with where you are.

@Girish Mulani hi, thanks for your compliments!😊 Yes, I do have a podcast, I started it quite long ago as a form of hometask for my students, but now I am planning to change the style of the episodes. Here it is: https://open.spotify.com/show/1EagW6sTouCmxIbWlk9Hxf?si=OFhH-Uj4TSicK7gGbHM1Yw Do you have or are you planning to run yours?
Niche help
I liked the idea of creating your niche. I'm a bit hesitant with how to do that. I would love to help Music Therapists, but I'm not sure if many of them even need my help. I plan on working with them on enhancing their English communication and presentation skills. Too narrow? Thanks for any feedback.

As I understood, the narrower a niche is the more specific we may be as service providers which leads to higher bills eventually))) That's only a guess still..

@Natasha Thompson The idea that we don't need thousands of students helps me😃
How do you find students online?
We have a question for you this week: how do you find students online? This is one of the biggest challenges teacherpreneurs face. And if we're being honest, having this sorted out is the only way for a business to survive. So why don't we help each other out. Drop your tips and strategies below and let's learn together. Drop questions you have about the process as well and let's use this as a learning opportunity.

I've been using local (Lithuania) advert site to publish paid ads - very old-school, but works well and it also brought people to my Fb. That was enough to form a 1-2-1 client base and then also word of mouth. Now I am planning to be more active in social media to attract more people to my course, but I am new here, so still at the stage of planning
Starting your business
Completely lost with how to start my business. Would anyone care to share their stories on how they started? Happy mindful Monday 😊

@Izabella Szymczak Hi Izabella, I am also new here, what I have already learnt is that identifying your niche/sub-niche is really directing itself.
Am I a high achiever??
So I'm part way through watching the video on high-achieving teaching and I paused the video as suggested and finished the sentence "a high-achieving person is someone who..." with my own words (...always strives to be better and constantly looks for new or better ways to do something). Before today, I don't think I would have called myself a high achiever as I was too focused on success / failure, but now I'm slowly coming round to the idea that maybe I AM a high-achiever, because I'm working towards this standard definition of what society deems a high-achiever. So I guess just because I'm not a dictionary definition, or I don't fit the mould of a high achiever which society has in mind, I'm putting in effort and I'm taking the steps towards improving my business and I'm a hard worker - so when I change my perspective, I realise I'm just a different kind of high achiever 😂🤷‍♀️
