This community has helped me break down the walls I spent a lifetime building. For the first time in my life, I feel safe. I feel heard, seen, and valued, and that’s something I’m not used to. The things I’m learning about myself through what’s being taught here are invaluable. The love for myself is slowly coming back. This journey of self-discovery that once scared me is now something I truly enjoy. Thank you to every single person in this space for what you do, for how you show up, and for your vulnerability. Thank you for sharing your stories, for doing the work, and for bringing it back to us so we can all rise together. I hold this community so close to my heart. 💛 I’m a better mother because of Soma+IQ, and that’s something I’ve always wanted more than anything. I’m learning that I’m okay exactly where I am. I’m learning to accept all parts of me and to let go of the things I can’t control. Most importantly, I’m getting to know my body. This vessel that has carried me for forty years, that I’ve neglected for so long simply because I didn’t know any different. There’s still so much more to discover, and that’s the beauty of it. Like Steven says, we are all verbs. I’m not just living, I’m Jenning. 🌿

Gratitude, Love and an Unforgettable Experience
Last Tuesday I facilitated my first full somatic journey with Angela, who was such an engaged and wonderful partner. Today, she just facilitated for me, taking me on an intensely profound healing that I was not expecting to be so raw and emotional. Thank you for that experience. As these 12 weeks of SOMA IQ training come to a close, I feel such deep gratitude. This journey has been more than learning techniques — it has been a remembering. From SOMA IQ I have learned the rhythm of breath as medicine, the science and art of holding space, the courage to lean into discomfort, and the joy of releasing through sound and movement. I’ve learned the power of community, of witnessing one another in our rawness and strength. And I’ve learned that my purpose has always been here: helping others through spiritual creativity —through the integration of AA and breathwork, singing and playing guitar, making sculptures, painting, jewelry, writing, etc...all of these are connected to our souls and our unique journeys. I will miss our weekly gatherings. The presence and encouragement of our facilitators — Dr. Samir, Adam, and Casey — and the spirit of classmates like Kylie, Bonnie, Angela, Sabine, Hazna, and so many more created a container unlike anything I’ve known. This training has felt like stepping into a 432hz wave — coherence, harmony, and resonance unfolding in every cell. And as the wave carries forward, I carry it too. Into my practice, into my service, into each breath. The courage, fortitude, frequency and purpose has always been inside us, It is a gift and I am so grateful for all of you and proud of all of us. This has not only been training — it has been a remembering of purpose.

Aww @Monica Davidson , thank you so much for the reflection and the compliments. It means a lot to me. I am glad I was able to connect with you on a deeper level during the breathwork session. This Soma IQ course is truly a gift to me as well. I learned how to be more authentic to myself. It was an incredible experience for me. Thank you to everyone who contributed to its creation. Thank you for all that you are, Monica, and for letting me get to know you.
Outdoors Breathwork
My goal is to one day facilitate Breathwork outside on private property so there's no worry of on lookers. Has anyone done this before? Any pointers?

I did a few daily breathwork sessions outside, and it was a game-changer. I felt more expansion in myself. Specially looking out to the open space. It gave me a different perspective on my reality. There are other options out there for me.

@Amber MccoyMcCoy, once the option presents itself, I will step into it without any doubt. :)
How to Work With Sadness - Demonstration from In-Person Training
If you're curious what it looks like inside our in-person training, here is one of the many demonstrations you will learn and practice within the training. Adriana, our lead instructor for in-person, demonstrates being with another person in a moment of sadness. Powerful video. If you're interested in learning more, please connect with our educators, as space is filling up quickly (we have only 11 spots left for our January training).

Thank you for letting us witness the process of healing, letting an energy of trauma move through and discharge. The visual effect is powerful for me. It would be amazing to have more visual videos like this for those of us who understand this world through our eyes. Thank you.

@Nadeem Al-Hasan , yes, I am a visual person, so seeing is believing for me. :)
Comfort Zone vs Sacred Place
Comfort Zone vs. Sacred Place — this is a deep and powerful comparison. Though they may feel similar at times, they serve very different purposes in personal growth, healing, and self-awareness. Let’s explore: Comfort Zone - Definition: A psychological space where things feel familiar, safe, and predictable. - Purpose: Offers mental and emotional security; reduces stress and risk. - Downside: If you stay too long, it breeds stagnation, fear of change, and missed opportunities. - Examples: Avoiding public speaking because it makes you nervous. Sticking to a job you dislike because it's stable. - Energy: Passive, resistant to discomfort, often fear-based. “A comfort zone is beautiful, but nothing ever grows there.” Sacred Place - Definition: A physical or internal space where you reconnect with your truth, spirit, and purpose. - Purpose: A sanctuary for renewal, reflection, healing, and transformation. - Upside: Restores your strength before or after growth, helps you align with your higher self. - Examples: A quiet room where you pray or meditate. Time spent in nature, journaling, or doing something that nourishes your soul. - Energy: Intentional, empowering, rooted in self-love and connection. “Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.” – Joseph Campbell 🔻 Key Differences Concept Comfort Zone Passive, stagnant, safety and routine, growth avoided, fear, control familiarity, surrender, numbs the spirit. Sacred Place Energy Intentional, renewing, Purpose, Restoration and spiritual connection Growth, Prepared for and supported Emotions, Love, trust, surrender, Awakens the spirit. 🧭 Powerful Reflection Questions: - Are you resting or hiding? - Is the space you're in protecting your peace or stalling your progress? - Are you avoiding discomfort, or are you in a sacred pause preparing for your next leap? Conclusion:The comfort zone keeps you safe. The sacred place helps you grow strong. The key is knowing when you’re hiding from life… and when you’re honoring your spirit.
