Hi Friends, Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Here's a quick rundown of upcoming events and happenings in the community. Tues, May 12, 12pm EST: Live Q&A — Replay Available I answered three member questions about managing chronic conditions through food. Topics covered: IBS and digestive distress, insomnia and sleep, and lowering A1C. If any of those are on your mind, the replay is worth a watch. Tues, May 19, 12pm EST: What Your Gut Tells Your Brain This one is going to be really good. We're talking about the gut-brain connection and simple ways to support both through food. Tues, May 26, 12pm EST: Live Cooking Class We'll cook a simple plant-based meal together. Focus on structure, balance, and making it something you can actually repeat. What's been happening in the community • This week we talked about seasonal eating, and I shared some meal prep ideas for the week. • I'm dropping new recipes this week too, including a dense bean salad. I've been wanting to add more beans to my daily diet and this one is a good place to start. • The May accountability thread is up too. Drop your focus there if you haven't yet. Also this week, I posted a new YouTube video on plant protein and debunked three of the most common myths. Watch it here. Recently added to the classroom: • The Plant Protein Toolkit covers how to actually hit your protein needs on a plant-based diet. • The Blood Sugar Action Guide is brand new and I'm really excited about this one. Simple, practical ways to support stable blood sugar through food.
