Time to get started
Hi everyone, I'm Ivonne. I live in Australia and am looking to start a health and fitness channel for women over 40 (or 35). I'm a personal trainer and nutrition coach who's mission is to get women stronger and feeling confident in a body they love, for what it can do and not just how it looks. I've been meaning to start a YT channel for years and finally feel ready. The aim is to have it launched and underway by end of Q1 2026 (March). I'm here to learn and share what I'm learning, as well as have a community of like-minded people with the common goal of starting and growing on YouTube. I look forward to connecting with all of you 🙂

Hey @Ivonne Canales welcome to the community! Love that you're starting to share your work on YouTube. I’ve been sharing meditation and yoga classes there for over a decade, so if you ever want tips or have any specific questions about it I’m happy to help 😊
🌿 Hey Everyone — I Need Your Creative Brains! 🌿
I’m getting ready to launch a brand-new YouTube channel and I’d love your opinions on the name. I just found this group yesterday so this 30 day challenge works out perfectly. The channel will be all about yoga lifestyle + vegetarian cooking — think simple nourishing meals mixed with little drops of yogic wisdom, mindfulness, and day-to-day “living in the now” energy. The idea is to use YouTube to bring people into my Skool…and use Skool to bring people to YouTube.A nice little loop of dharma + dinner. 😄 Right now, the name I’m leaning toward is: 🥥 Meditation Kitchen A calm, cozy space where food becomes a practice. Each YouTube video will show the cooking process and the vibe…but the recipes, deeper lessons, and extra content will live inside the Skool. That way both spaces feed each other (pun absolutely intended). Before I lock it in, I’d love to hear your honest thoughts.Does “Meditation Kitchen” feel right?Or do you think something else fits the yoga-food-lifestyle fusion better? Here are a few backup name ideas I’ve tossed around, just for fun: - Mindful Meals - Yoga Pantry - Zen Spoon - Soulfood Asana - Calm & Cooking - Dharma + Dinner - The Mindflowers Kitchen (keeps your brand unified) But seriously — any ideas, opinions, or gut reactions are welcome.I’m excited to build this new project and bring more people into the community. Thanks for helping me shape it! 🙏✨

Why YouTube actually?
I’m curious, especially for those of us starting YouTube later in life. What made you start your YouTube channel in the first place? I tried FB and IG and TikTok but none of these speaks to me. I just dont feel it. Additional for my purpose i think search engine maschine where people come asking questions I have answers to is better for my customer journey and monetisation later on. Your / my job is to be consistent and post videos so potential " customers" find you. How about you? Was it the wish to share your experience, help others, build income, create something of your own, or something that’s harder to put into words, journaling? I’ve noticed that the reason we start, often shapes how we show up on YouTube later, including how we think about content and monetisation , sometimes without us even realising it. I’d really love to hear what your original motivation was.

Great question @Alicja Heinz ! There are multiple reasons why I think YouTube is such an important platform for me to be on. One is it tends to be more of a place people come to learn. Where are social lean more into the quick dopamine hits, YouTube supports long-form and people actively searching for educational content. This Paris well with me offering guided breathwork and meditation classes there. Another is the longevity. Social posts tend to have a short shelf-life, whereas on YouTube I have videos that I shared 8+years ago that are still generating views now. The immense about of analytics also helps to make YouTube a playground where I can look in detail at drop offs, CTR etc to really improve my packaging and content. And finally the audience…..there is no other platform that gives me access to so many people around the world!
