How is everyone incorporating AI into their workflows?
Curious to hear how other pricing strategists and operators are using AI in their workflows. Are you just getting started, or do you have a full flow built? What tools do you like vs. which tools are causing you the most trouble? I'm especially curious if anyone has developed a way to leverage AI to refine ICPs?? Or if anyone has found any good Claude skill files specific to pricing? I'll kick off! Some context: We're refining our sales-led pricing model at the moment and need to move quickly, so I don't have the support to run formal research. I'm also a team of one at a Series A company that just underwent a massive change in how we deliver our product 😅 I've been using Claude to refine new pricing structures and develop HTML pricing calculators for sales-led deals. I've been funneling context to Claude using our product's MCP server, knowledge files, and more, which have allowed me to develop and pressure-test various pricing strategies that I have then vetted with cross-functional leadership and sales as viable to test. My sales team now has a self-service hub they can rely on to run with these new models for certain deals. The hub provides guidance on choosing a model, the value story for the chosen model, pricing, and ROI calculations. Would love to hear what everyone else is doing!

@Garrick van Buren This isn't quite the point of my post, but I am happy to answer your question if that helps clarify my post's intent. By "formal," I mean the ability to conduct systematic, qualitative research (surveys with target audiences, large-scale analysis, etc.) using formal pricing methodologies such as maxdiff, VWD, GG, conjoint, etc. This isn't to say I don't have quesitons, assumptions, hypotheses, etc. - I am just answering and testing these in a much scrappier, bootstrapped way given the constraints in my environment :)

Looking for guidance: Enterprise WTP research
Hi everyone, and happy holidays! I am kicking off Q1 with a revamp of my current company's enterprise offering structure, from packages to pricing structure. Like many others, we are looking to move away from user-based pricing. I am planning to run WTP research through qualitative interviews to help us better understand the value within our product for large enterprises and to validate the options we have for new metrics to bring into a value-aligned pricing structure. My ask: Does anyone have resources they have found particularly insightful in informing how to set up successful qualitative enterprise WTP studies? Any lessons learned that could help me here? Any input is appreciated! Additional context: We're a Series A SaaS/"on-prem" hybrid product with deep open-source roots (https://www.localstack.cloud/).

@Akshay Patel thank you! Given that the focus is on enterprise deals only at this time, I am planning to leverage our existing sales pipeline at various stages to address different aspects of the research. Right now, we have an N of over 50 deals. For the most part, our pipeline consists of our ICP, with a mix of company types that could be our ICP (we count an ICP as an industry where we generally have >120% NRR and a strong lifetime value). The personas we involve during our evaluation & negotiation phases are typically technical buyers with budget authority extending into economic buyers during the final discussions.

I have a question to add @Rob Litterst ! How should an early-stage organization deliver value-based pricing to enterprise clients if there is no single metric they believe fully captures the product's value, and they're convinced they need to move away from user-based pricing?
