Two Truths & a Creative Dream!
Welcome to our newest very creative member @Ray Handley Let’s make this fun! Creative Hearts — comment with 2 true things about your creative life + 1 dream (Ray, jump in when you’re ready — no pressure!). I am excited for Ray to share a little about his own community here on Skool - I know you will enjoy his animations. You have already seen one of them (skiing skills!) Here is a reminder

🌿 Passion Project Spotlight: Creating Junk Journals
OMG!!! I have got the - "I can't wait for Christmas gitters". ha ha - Just talking about Junk journals has sent me into research mode! So I asked my buddy Chat what he thought of them. This is what he said: There’s something deeply calming about creating a junk journal. No rules, no perfection. Just paper, texture, memories… and permission to play. Old book pages, postcards, fabric scraps, ticket stubs, wrapping paper, handwritten notes — pieces of life that might otherwise be thrown away — slowly come together to tell a story.Your story. A junk journal isn’t about being artistic, it is about being present. ✂️ Cutting📄 Layering🧵 Stitching🖋️ Writing🎨 Adding little details that feel like you And somewhere in the middle of glue and paper, something shifts. Your mind quietens.Your shoulders drop.Your thoughts slow down. It’s one of those projects where the process matters more than the outcome. Some people use junk journals to:• Capture memories• Process emotions• Explore creativity without pressure• Document seasons of life• Create something beautiful from the ordinary Others simply enjoy the joy of making something with their hands again. In this Passion Projects space, junk journals are welcome in all forms:💛 A single page💛 A whole book💛 A work-in-progress💛 A “I’m just thinking about starting” idea If you’ve been feeling a little heavy, stuck, or disconnected — this might be a gentle place to begin again. ✨ No expectations.✨ No comparison.✨ Just curiosity and creativity. I'm back: How good was that!!!! Have you ever made a junk journal — or does the idea of doing this inspire you? Our @Clare Goodall Etsy Extroidinare will be organising a how to video ... watch this space and in the mean time.... lets start the conversation here.

@Elizabeth Jaworski I think it would involve us working out a mutual day and times and work out a run sheet. and decide how big we would like to cater this for. :) Its up to us really.

@Elizabeth Jaworski Sweet, lets see what our other Creative Hearts say
I Came Across A Little But Powerful Book 📚
I came across a little book on YouTube yesterday called "It Works". And I posted about it in "The Skoolers Library " @Leeanne Hurren spotted it and asked me to share here for all her wonderful members. It’s one of those old, very straightforward books, almost too straightforward. You write down what you want, you read it every day, and you leave it alone. That’s it. What got me thinking wasn’t the book itself, even though I loved it, it was how quickly the mind wants to jump in and complicate something once you’ve been clear. We question it, then adjust it, try to improve it and always second-guess it. And I’m not convinced that helps. I’m still sitting with it, but it definitely made me notice how often we don’t always struggle with not knowing what we want, we struggle with letting it stay simple once we do. Just sharing what’s been on my mind. You can listen to it here 👇

Yay! You did it! I particularly thought it would be fab for our collective here as we have been talking about setting the vision for next year with the dream board. I have listened to it twice over, written my goals out yet again with more clarity on my notebook beside my computer where I will see it regularly... I feel - for myself - It is one thing to have amazing people like our Self development "guru" share , but what are we doing with the information. Best to put it into action as soon as possible. :) in this way I feel like I am honouring Heathers time. Also do check out her community if you feel inclined to self development and Human design. It is one of my favourite communities. The Skoolers Library

A passion that saved me. Art
This afternoon I received a phone call and it was my daughter who was painting with my grandson... this shifted my focus for the afternoon and whilst my daughter rested on her bed (was she really resting or exploring). I joined my daughter in adding another layer of paint to my current artwork . How art saved me? This I will share another day as my daughter is calling for me... my unfinished artwork/. the bottom is what my grand daughter painted of a fun day with the family at the beach side - My painting is above this. It is looking a bit dark now but this will lighten as the next layers are added. Would you like to do a step by step progress thread?
