There was a time 7 years ago, when I thought that I could not possibly be an "influencer" and lead a group of people in running a business. Who am I? Could I really do? Have you ever said that to yourself. However there are some things that I have learned, especially more so, in the past 3 years of overseeing and leading events where business owners travel from around the world to gather together in person to learn marketing skills and business skills in person - shoulder to shoulder. There is no "i" in team. Our events were successful because every person, every volunteer, played a very important role in the success of the experience of the event. Where I lacked in foresight, or in my availability of time because of my role as a foster mum of a child with high needs, there were "angels in my team" walking along side me that met the "space" that I created and it helped that person to step up, to shine in their role. I now enjoy creating space for others to grow because of my experience with this business. I now know the benefits of creating space for people to step forward and use their talents to benefit the group, the team. Seeing the self- confidence and pride on a mentee's face as they achieve is simply the best experience! I can't wait to meet these incredible business owners in Fiji next week. I am buzzing. What experience have you had where you realised that it is better to find connection with others then to try to do it on your own?

Watching our Millionaire mastermind for the Lifewedesign.com and boy are there some major changes to enable's people business to grow. I am grateful for this weekly boost into my business. If you are interested in running a digital business online - I can recommend this program. Such great training and always updating and adding value. Heres a little nugget from this morning: FB and Instagram are now favouring authentic small videos that are shared privately and have authentic conversations ... not quantity of short replies on posts but authentic conversation and posts that are shared privately amongst people. Otherwords: Social. This can only be a good thing right.

To be able to travel with incredible huge hearted individuals is an absolute blessing. I can't help but feel the excitement stir in my being know that this is coming up in March. What do you have planned this year that stirs you and gives you a sense of excitement and joy and something to look forward to?

I love the idea of learning and growing business skills in a setting that reminds you why you’re building in the first place. The countdown to March is on as I get ready to travel to Fiji for a week of offline connection with our business community. Not to hustle. Not to add pressure. Just connection, clarity, and expansion — together. So I’m curious… 🌴 If nothing was holding you back, what would you explore? A place? A new skill? A different way of living and working?

There was a time I would never have said this…but being a coach and business owner is now part of my life — alongside being a foster mum and a grandparent. This journey has shown me that growth doesn’t come from doing the same thing over and over but from connecting with community with shared experience, and support matters more than we realise.
