EARLY ACCESS for Ronin!
I'm opening up Royalty Rockstars next week if nothing goes FUBAR! 🤞 Royalty Rockstars is a community for the "talent": Coaches, Creators, and Influencers who want to turn their old/new content into ROYALTY income. RONIN are the producers and distribution. Kinda like the music, movie, sports industry. You have the talent. 🤹‍♂️ Then you have the Royalty Ronin who go out and monetize the talent. 🤑 I will "teach" my fool head off about licensing, but MOST TALENT doesn't want to do the BUSINESS SIDE! They just DON'T! That's where YOU come in. Royalty Rockstars is going to be a "feeder" for Ronin. We'll discuss more details later... But for now...free for you... ===> Become a Royalty Rockstar & FOUNDER here I can't tell ya what to do cuz you're Ronin... But I'd love it if you joined and added to the convo. I'd bet dollars to donuts the most active Ronin will make deals with the Rockstars. Rooting For Ya, Travis PS I initially spoke about this community as 8 Figure Licensing Mojo, but damn...it was just so boring to me! I want to make licensing FUN!

Investor stance as a content provider?
Hi everyone I'm wondering what stance or energy i want to take on when i start pitching partnerships to provide content (as opposed to campaigns). Do you recommend the same approach as "investor"? @Travis Sago If you (or any of the wise peeps here) have suggestions for how I might get started thinking about pitching in terms of setting up a partnership to provide content (for royalities) I'd love some suggestions to get me started :). Much thanks Lisa

Hi Travis @Travis Sago I have a main front door offer that has been selling consistently for 4 years now. its $1500 and 8 week program. It's designed for transformational facilitators (so therapists, coaches, healers and health practitioners typically) to help them come out of professional burnout (and compassion fatigue) and find a sustainable way to look after themselves and stay in an optimal place to be able to support thier clients (the last few years have been very hard for those helping peeps in these areas). Once they are topped up and feeling resourced and stable I then go on to support them in more professional development to become more powerful practitioners supporting deeper transformations with their clients. (we touch on that in the above 8 week offer but continue on in much deeper levels in my longer ongoing program of 9 months). However what I want to specifically offer partners is much smaller micro offerings (3-6 lessons) that spring off from my front door offer that integrate with their own core offers to accelerate results. I've pulled collections of processes and exercises out of larger bodies of work to streamline for a single simple result. The goal is to provide high value but also make people aware of my larger body of work which they could come study. Partners I'd be looking for are Coaching schools - my micro offering focuses on developing "the seat of the practitioner"... how they show up, hold space, and create a nervous system that their clients can co-regulate to and an energy body their clients can attune to. This is a massive power up for practitioners instead of merely focusing on delivering the coaching processes and exercises in the right order :). coaches and consults who work with transformational faciliators from a top down approach (ie mindset work, congnitive processes, strategy and possible also healing work). Here the work allows partners to give their clients access to the somatic body based approach to complment the top down and deepen, intergrate and anchor the work they are doing with clients. The extension here is for coaches focusing on the mind to add the body to the mix.
Intro and my "crazy arse" project that i want help with :).
I’ve been lurking here for weeks now but I really want to make progress on my project so I need to start engaging! I feel like I’m going out on a limb bit here because I’m interested in this process of licensing content from a completely different role compare to most peeps here. In full transparency I am a creator. I can’t actually help myself :). I’m also a teacher with 30 years professional experience and a master at designing programs and synthesising content into learning frameworks at numerous universites around the world as a few of my nerdy kirks and career highlights. So the idea of licensing MY IP is first and foremost at the top of my wish list. I’m a marketer because I have been online in biz for 15 years and have done continuous professional development in marketing during that time as something I have to do to have a successful biz (not primarily because I love marketing and that’s what I want to do day in and day out LOL). I get the sense that most peeps here are first and foremost digital marketers :). My focus here in this group in the first instance is to learn to license my IP. In fact it’s the top priority in my biz right now. Frankly as I get older I’m much more keen in building passive income steams than I am in building an empire and marking a big mark on the world LOL. So I realise I may well be a minority in this group but I’m hopeful that the information and wisdom of this group will be hugely helpful for me in seeing me get my “crazy arse project” off the ground :). My “crazy arse” project. I want to totally flip the switch on my approach to lead gen. Mission: Turn lead gen from being a paid expense to a passive income stream instead. Goal Aquire 60 sales a year (20 a quarter) from partners while also building a small passive income stream (4-6K per month) by licensing my work/ IP as solutions that fill holes , add value and increase conversion in their programs. For Partners: I offer bonus content/ modules to add to their offer that is unique and evocative that will increase their conversions, make them stand out amongst competitors, add value, fill holes and greatly increase their clients results.

@Travis Sago thanks Travis, thats super helpful to to to hear I'm in the right place! ... and that its feasible LOL. So I'll start thinking about reaching out for coffee dates :). If you have any tips on best approachs that are more relevant for collaboration in this specific area (ie collabs on content specifically) i'm all ears. :) One question I have that's really nagging at me and keeping me in a holding pattern is that of content delivery. What do you recommend? Is it feasible (and desirable for the partner) to host the content on my kajabi and get their clients into my system? or will i need to find another way to give them my content? It feels easy to me to get them onto my kajabi platform as I then also automatically get the leads and know the sales volumne of my partners by default but are partners happy with that? Do they want to host the content on their own platforms (more embedded in their program?). I'd love to hear your advice on the practical aspects of licensing the content in terms of content delivery. My guess is there are many viable options for delivery, customising and branding etc. I'm just wondering what needs to be considered here and what even are the options (you don't know what you don't know). What do partners really want and what would be a turn off for them? :) Would love to hear your experiences on all of this. Cheers

@James Foster ooh thanks James that a good idea. :). Are you familar with Kajabi?
A practical question on delivery
A practical question: How are content deliverers doing the technical aspects of making their content accessible in the partnerships? Are they hosting the content on their own platforms? - ie Kajabi Are they packaging the content somehow and handing it over to the partner? Would love to understand how to best set this up :) Thanks in advance Lisa x

@Travis Sago thanks Travis. I think hosting it on my platform is by far the best solution for me as i can then get all the leads into my system :).... and yes thinking on a per partnership base will probably also be required :) thanks!
A question on a tangent - What is CAP?
Hello everyone :) In lieu of a first intro post (which I will do soon :)) I wanted to ask a quick question. I'm working my way through a lot of the training content first up as I'm new to most of Travis's world (although I have learnt from one of his students for years and recognise a lot of the strategy). Some of the terminology in the training is tripping up my brain LOL. My main question today - what is CAP? I'm going through the hopper training and in one of the calls Travis and the group have a discussion about CAP and that it should be used everywhere but not what it is (it sounds pretty cool and important hahaha) can someone enlighten me? @Travis Sago could you clarify? Looking forwards to learning from you all about the world of licensing. :)

@Travis Sago thanks for a great Loom and taking the time to answer so fully. It makes total sense ). I've worked with Elizabeth Purvis for a few years so when you explained the acronym it was actually familar :). It is a really helpful framework in many contexts. I'm not the fastest implementer in the room as at this point this is a new side project for me while i juggle my business as usual, but i continue moving through all the content :), probably more questions to come 😁 thanks for having me. Cheers
