I can predict my future. Seriously. So can you… No crystal ballz or woo woo. There are TWO predictors or indicators. They are accurate AF… I get what I commit to and practice. Not what I say I want or wish really, really hard for. When I wanted to go from active income trading my time to passive(r) income… I had to commit and PRACTICE. Before: I was in debt and could barely keep my head above water. I had to take orders from everybody it seemed or I’d go under. Why? Because I practiced going into debt! It was easier for me to go into debt than create income. So I got what I practiced: debt! I was MORE committed to AVOIDING the practice of income creation. So I got EXACTLY what I committed to and practiced. During: It started with tiny little income streams. I committed and practiced. I failed a lot. It was like riding a bike. The ride was all herky jerky and I skinned my knees and elbows. After: Finally, it got easier. There’s that moment it clicks. It’s like balance finds you. Next thing I know it’s easier for me to create agreements for people to pay me than it is for me to sign agreements to pay others. I got out of debt. I created more and more income. Not because I wanted it really, really bad, but because I committed and practiced. Everyday… We are given opportunities to show what we are committed to and called to practice. Convo Opener and Coffee Date Tip… Do people clam up on you? Try this and see if it doesn’t get them spilling beans in seconds. Do you ask a question by email or on Zoom and you can see them get visibly uncomfortable? Or they ghost ya on email? Because I suck at small talk… I had this problem for a long time. Travis: Hi! So what stops you from having all the sales you want? Them: What are you tryna sell me?!?! 😂 Now… I still suck at small talk. But then I figured out how to use Useful Gossip to get them to open up. 👉 Gossip is talking about OTHER people! People love to gossip and talk about OTHER people. The people they serve. The people that compete with them. The people in other industries threatening theirs. All of this is USEFUL GOSSIP. Especially about their people’s problems. Why? Remember the #1 thing every leader, coach or influencer wants? 👉 To help their people solve a problem!! So let’s change our clam inducing question: Travis: Hi! So what stops you from having all the sales you want? And tweak it with gossip… Travis: Hi! So what’s happening now that stops your real estate flippers from flipping all the homes they want? And then… Stand back! Because a flood of convo gold will rush forth which can provide months of deal flow for you. Now… It really pays to do some research before hand especially on cold dm or email openers. Like: “Are the anti-wholesaling laws affecting your wholesalers?” Whether it’s “yes” or “no” the convo is now open! Get this… The pivot to talking about their business after a few minutes of gossip is so much easier… Travis: (After a few minutes of gossip) So sales are down for your people. Is that affecting your business at all? And the floodgates open again. You may not even need the pivot. Because you can find out how/if they are helping the people they were gossiping about… Which gets them to open up about another easy thing to talk about: Their offers. Getting someone to open up is about 90% of deal making.
