How to Retain Information
You do not have a bad memory, you just have a bad method. Hermann Ebbinghaus found that your brain dumps half of what you learn in just one hour. To fix this forgetting curve, you must use active learning and spaced repetition. This means you review your notes after one, three, and seven days to lock the facts in. Your brain also needs deep sleep and daily exercise to grow new cells and store the data. I use these exact steps to keep the wisdom of Steve Jobs, Howard Schultz, Elon Musk, and Colonel Sanders alive in my head every single day. Most people blame their memory, but it’s really about having the right system and consistency. Active learning and spaced repetition truly change the game.
Feb 25 #BelieveWalk
On today’s #BelieveWalk, I was reminded about the importance of standing for something. Why should someone subscribe to your channel or follow you? How easy is it for people to explain what you do to others? If it’s too hard to understand what you do, then people don’t take action. So… What do you stand for? To join the #BelieveWalk Challenge: 1) Wake up and get outside 2) Go for a 15 minute+ walk 3) On the walk, listen to something that helps you #Believe in yourself Try it for 30 days and your life will change.
