How to Retain Information
You do not have a bad memory, you just have a bad method. Hermann Ebbinghaus found that your brain dumps half of what you learn in just one hour. To fix this forgetting curve, you must use active learning and spaced repetition. This means you review your notes after one, three, and seven days to lock the facts in. Your brain also needs deep sleep and daily exercise to grow new cells and store the data. I use these exact steps to keep the wisdom of Steve Jobs, Howard Schultz, Elon Musk, and Colonel Sanders alive in my head every single day.
