Benefits for Golf
I’ve finished day 5 of the first 7 day challenge. The turning and weight shifting will defiantly help me with my golf game. As we get older we loose flexibility swinging the golf club thus causing lose of distance. Can’t wait to hit the golf course thinking of N, S, E, W.

@Alan Hook Hi Alan - the main benefit for me is more flexibility with my back swing. Understanding the center line is good too.

Tai chi and qigong principles in life
@Bill McDonald made a great post about how turning and weight shifting helps his golf. It got me thinking about other unexpected benefits of tai chi and or qigong. One came up for me and that is playing guitar. In tai chi and qigong I will be aware of the muscular, tendon, fascia strength I am using to complete the movement or keep a good body structure. Then I will reduce the effort/tension to a bare minimum. The same thing happens when I play guitar in a mindful way. How much strength do I need to hold the chord and strum or fingerpick the strings and how much can I reduce it. I'm often amazed by how much effort I use compared to how little I actually need. By reducing the effort in both qigong and playing guitar the more in the flow I become. When I use minimum effort I just flow, and being in a flow state is truly a wonderful experience.

Wow never knew what muscles it takes to play a guitar. But I've never played a guitar and wound't know. It's an instrument I love to listen to. Thanks for Sharing Adam.
