When you're trying to learn how to build and grow a business, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by all of the different funnels, traffic sources, advice, and directions that you can go in.
🔥 The reality that most people don't want to hear is that, in all honesty, they all will get you there.
There are people making money using only FB, only TikTok, only Google ads, doing only high ticket, doing only low ticket, doing social selling, making their own products, selling services, etc.
The list goes on and on.
and the advice on how to do each of those things will also vary.
👉 So, here's the one piece of advice that I wished someone had told me 7 years ago when I first started down the road of entrepreneurship...
🌈 Just pick something, find one source as the expert to follow, and follow them exclusively until you get so good at it that success is inevitable...
That's it!
and I was reminded of this rule today while making dinner... Let me explain.
🥟 I have been seeing these viral recipes lately about making homemade dumplings. Except, I don't have wonton wrappers so I looked up a recipe for homemade dumpling dough.
🥣 On top of that, I didn't have the proper steaming basket, so I figured i'd boil them instead (like you do with pierogis!)
and Voila! My dumplings came out falling apart and the dough soft and mushy.
🍳 Luckily I was able to transfer them to a pan and broil them to help them dry out a bit.
They still ended up tasty, but much less pretty than I would have liked. They also weren't as delicious as I knew they would have been if I had just taken the time to get the proper ingredients and supplies, and cook it by the recipe.
⭐ In the same way that we can't swap ingredients, cooking equipment, and cooking methods, you shouldn't swap funnels, traffic sources, landing pages, offers, and content unless you actually know what you're doing.
and when you're just starting out, you're just not good enough yet.
👉 So, in the same way that i'll stick to the recipe next time, I hope you'll analyze the people that you're looking at for business advice and find someone that truly aligns with what you're trying to build.
