🦞 Claude just blocked OpenClaw usage for Claude Subscriptions

It look like Anthropic put the clamps (or claws) down on this. The company just sent the email below out to every Claude subscriber.

“Starting tomorrow, April 4th at 12pm PT, your Claude subscription no longer covers OpenClaw usage.

You can still use Claude through OpenClaw. But now it's pay-as-you-go. Billed separately. On top of your existing subscription.

Your subscription still covers Claude's own products though: Claude Code, Claude Cowork, etc

Your subscription now does not support third-party tools like OpenClaw.”

Luckily, there are some almost equally powerful open-source LLM’s just recently released. Open AI also doesn’t seem to have this limitation on their subscriptions regarding OpenClaw (for now anyway).

This AI game is def keeping us all on our toes.
