Practice, practice, practice! Lose the filler words as much as possible. Practice with your friends and family, merely to practice with someone else vs. reciting it in the mirror or in your head. Ask them for input but listen to your coaches first. Your coaches have been through this and your family and friends, at least mine, have not.
I use them, not only in my practicing my pitch but also in everyday conversations. I'm afraid of the pause. In my opinion, the fear of the pause has come from working in corporate America. If I pause on a work call and I'm not finished with my thoughts, I've lost the floor, and I try to be conscious about interrupting others. I'm not 100% good at that either, especially in a more casual environment but that's why we practice, tell ourselves out loud that we are great at it so our subconscious starts believing it. Once our subconscious is on board it's a lot easier for our conscious to stop negative programming.
Have a great Tuesday! Practice that Pitch and be Pitchin' (do I owe you a $1 for that 😀)?
