Networking
When I first stepped into real estate, I thought success was all about numbers, deals, and strategies. But over time, I realized one of the biggest game changers has been the people I’ve met along the way. From events like Aspire, Women expo to countless meetups, workshops and webinars, every conversation has opened new doors, whether it was a potential investor, a partner, a mentor, or simply someone who challenged me to think differently. Networking has taught me that: - 💡 A single introduction can shift the entire direction of your journey. - 🤝 Real estate truly is a team sport, you grow faster when you grow together. - 🚀 Relationships often bring more opportunities than any marketing strategy ever could. That’s why I’m excited to share that in the next month, I’ll be attending at least 5 events with the goal of not just meeting people, but truly connecting. To me, networking is not about collecting business cards, it’s about building and maintaining relationships. We’ve planned to follow up with every meaningful connection we make at these events and ensure they remain a valuable part of our real estate journey moving forward. Someone smart once told me: “Don’t just chase deals, build relationships. That’s where the real value lies.” 👉 Curious to hear from you: How do you nurture and maintain the connections you make at networking events?
Finding Your Value - The Journey Continues
Going through this reflection exercise showed me that discovering your value isn’t about perfection, it’s about awareness. I realized there are still areas where I want to grow, habits I want to shift, and strengths I want to nurture. I saw how often fear of the unknown and a scarcity mindset hold me back. Worrying about “what if” keeps me from taking certain risks or exploring new opportunities. But I also recognized the strengths I carry: adaptability, resilience, and the ability to push through challenges. For me, finding my value means learning to take more chances, shifting from scarcity to abundance, and embracing change with courage. My value is not fixed, it grows every time I choose courage over fear, investment over hesitation, and possibility over doubt. Your value is already within you. The journey is uncovering it, owning it, and living it boldly.

@Yonnick and Marichel Matthews Powerful words. Thank you for the reminder, it’s not about finding value but about claiming it
Contact Exchanges Made Easier
I struggle with self-doubt and subconscious learning from years of feeling inadequate. I constantly feel that I'm not great conversationally, never knowing what to say, what to talk about, and fear of pauses. @Parul Sharma and I went to Aspire Wealth this past weekend and Day 1 was a big struggle for me. I met a handful of connections, but everyone had FOMO. I'd be having a conversation, not arrived to the, "let's exchange numbers" part of the conversation when the break would end, and they would be eager to get back to their seats. I'm starting to see more value in multi-day events. During this event I exchanged contact information with 2 of the 5 people/couples/business partners that I met on Day 1. Day 2 and 3 were easily 2x to 3x that each day due to strengthening my connections from Day 1. Each day connections became easier by saying hello to someone you had already met, while they are speaking to others. You will usually get a quick introduction and participate in the conversation and eventually exchange numbers.

I saw the same pattern during the one day Aspire event as if no one wants to talk to each other. It gets easier you if you bump into some during bathroom break or at the coffee bar. That worked for me. I met a lot of people at coffee bar and restroom area and we started with a simple hi and caught up with each other later and ended up exchanging information.

@Michael Hartley you know what I mean.
Are you Pitchin' today?
Practice, practice, practice! Lose the filler words as much as possible. Practice with your friends and family, merely to practice with someone else vs. reciting it in the mirror or in your head. Ask them for input but listen to your coaches first. Your coaches have been through this and your family and friends, at least mine, have not. I use them, not only in my practicing my pitch but also in everyday conversations. I'm afraid of the pause. In my opinion, the fear of the pause has come from working in corporate America. If I pause on a work call and I'm not finished with my thoughts, I've lost the floor, and I try to be conscious about interrupting others. I'm not 100% good at that either, especially in a more casual environment but that's why we practice, tell ourselves out loud that we are great at it so our subconscious starts believing it. Once our subconscious is on board it's a lot easier for our conscious to stop negative programming. Have a great Tuesday! Practice that Pitch and be Pitchin' (do I owe you a $1 for that @Parul Sharma 😀)?
