Introducing Our Founding Leaders
✨ Meet Your Founding Leaders — The Heart of Write Your Book
Hey writers,
We've reached a moment where the community needs to evolve, and I wanted you to hear it straight from me.
As we transition to our new tiered structure (June 1), READ MORE ABOUT IT HERE, I'm introducing something I've been dreaming about: Founding Leaders. This is a small circle of 3–5 members who are stepping up to help shape the next chapter of Write Your Book alongside me.
What's a Founding Leader?
A Founding Leader is someone who's been showing up consistently, building community, and living the writing life in a way that makes others believe it's possible. They're not staff. They're peers, the people who make this community feel alive because they're genuinely invested in it. They're choosing to contribute one meaningful way per month (leading a cowriting room, hosting an industry expert session, mentoring newer writers, running a roundtable — whatever matches their gifts).
Who are they?
I'm thrilled to welcome:
  • — bringing leadership, mentorship, and weekly community updates. Carol's committed to sharing her writing journey every week to keep the energy alive.
  • — our recent indie author who just hit #1 in three categories. Leslie's bringing real-time launch wisdom, running the Substack crash course, and co-leading sessions on practical AI for indie authors.
  • — with deep editing expertise and a gift for honest feedback. Tracy's hosting our Industry Expert session on editing, co-leading quarterly syncs, and helping us think through how peer critique actually works.
  • — a fiction writer and longtime member of the community — will be hosting the co-writing sessions and helping us stay accountable to our goals.
  • — international bestselling ghostwriter, editor, and screenwriter. Emily's facilitating our storytelling workshops, hosting author interview sessions, and bringing her professional expertise to the editing table. She's also joining the 90-day sprint to model accountability for her own creative projects.
These are the visible peer layer that makes community real. They're not perfect — they're just real, consistent, and genuinely here for each other's work.
What changes for you?
  • More voices, less me. You'll hear from Carol, Brittney, and Tracy regularly, not because I'm stepping back, but because I'm making space for the wisdom that already exists in this room.
  • More structure, same heart. The 90-day sprints start in June. Carol and Brittney are joining the first one. The monthly workshops happen live — Tracy, Brittney, and Leslie are co-hosting.
  • Higher standards, real support. With Founding Leaders carrying some of the load, I can focus on what only I do: coaching, vision, and the deeper work of helping you finish.
The door isn't closed. As we grow, there may be room to expand this circle. But for now, we're keeping it tight, because scarcity makes status real, and status is how we honor people's actual contribution.
Your part: Show up. Engage. Tag a Founding Leader with a question or a win. Let them know you see them doing the work. Thank you in advance to these incredible humans for their willingness and support.
See you in June.
With you, Sierra
