Author INTERVIEW- Request
Hi, co-authors of Femme Led. I have been asked to answer a few questions as part of an interview about the book. I wanted to share the questions here and hear from you-- so I can include you in the media op. Please respond to 1 or more of the questions below (leave your response in the comments). Author Interview - 1. Femme Led: Hard-Learned Lessons from Women in Leadership is an anthology of women’s leadership stories that asks what becomes possible when leadership is no longer treated as control, performance, or self-erasure, but as truth lived in public. What traditional leadership models felt the most urgent to dismantle?  2.Many stories involve stepping away from roles of power. How do you define success after that kind of choice? 3.The book highlights burnout, grief, and disillusionment. Why was it important to center those experiences? 4.Many contributors describe reinvention. Is leadership inherently tied to identity shifts, and how do women navigate the fear of becoming someone new? Sierra Melcher, @Carol Britton , @Janice Marquardt , @Donna Marino , @Tracy MacDonald, @Anna Dravland , @Jean Smarto , @Tiffany Harris , @Diana Frank , @Michelle McCartney , @Stephanie Mikulasek , @Alexandra Yung , @Ann McCreath , @Dr. Katherine Humphreys , @Catalina Escobar , and @Asya Dimitrova

Re: question 2, Defining success after stepping away from power– After turning in my badge and walking away from being a federal agent–one of my life's most significant achievements– i felt failure initially, but then reframed it as a success with the realization that I was choosing instead to be true to myself, honor my personal values, and to remember that although I was walking away from a "dream," it wasn't what I thought it would be, and I was choosing to walk TOWARD a life more aligned.

It was fun for me to see today too @Sierra Melcher that best selling author Janet Skieksen Charles of the Paris Library will read our book! 😃 unfortunately she mostly only reviews fiction books but maybe I can nudge her on good reads. We’re getting seen!!
