Sometimes, it's More than Wood
Needed to replace a bad light fixture in the bathroom and my wife found this one. Unfortunately, the old light fixture left a large bare area when I removed it, which wouldn't have been covered by the new fixture's baseplate. So, I had to get creative and made this "farmhouse" frame, filled with corrugated galvanized steel. The only part of this project that was wood was the frame, but that was enough to make it a woodworking project.
Of course, it doesn't end here. Now that I've made this frame for the light fixture, I've got to make matching pieces that hold a new towel bar, hand towel ring and toilet paper holder. Every project leads to another.
