Rookie Mistake !

Mission accomplished—I may have succeeded in getting my wife hooked on mechanical watches.

While she was trying on pieces, she smiled and asked, “Did you see anything you liked?”

Rookie mistake.

Five minutes later I was making a completely rational case for why this Italian-made watch belongs in my collection. After all, every collection has gaps… and apparently mine specializes in creating new ones.

I’d never heard of this brand before today, but I have to admit it’s a sharp-looking piece. I can already picture it with my Western wardrobe. Tell me I’m not the only one who’s walked into a jewelry store to buy a watch for someone else and somehow left with a new “must-have” on the wishlist.
