Happy Throwback Thursday! Borrowing from my friends @Brett Sutton and @Warren Money this morning, "It's a stretch but stick with me" — Throwing back about a year-and-a-half ago when I picked up this wonderful Timex National Parks Collection watch featuring the beautiful “Great Smoky Mountains" National Park. Since my writing stories are all based in the Ozarks Mountains Region here, considered 'Appalachia West', and I love the Smoky Mountains region, this is one I had to have. Another that went out-of-stock before I could place an order when they were originally introduced, as soon as they came back in stock last year I nabbed one. Sadly, now the price has increased 153% since then. At 40mm, this watch is so lightweight as to barely be noticeable on the wrist. I also like that this one has the Arrow Second Hand like my Timex Expedition watches. But miss the Timex Indiglo feature, and wish they would have included the 12-24 hour numerals on the dial to make this a proper "field watch," since it is intended as an outdoor watch, after all. But other than those small issues, I absolutely love this one.
