For me it’s the color combination and ruggedness of this diver that make it fun to wear. I love the bronze and how it’s aging nicely! Anyone else out there with something similar?

@Carl Ronny Birkeland Great looking watch. Thanks for sharing.
Vintage Character, Modern Confidence
I’ve been shopping for a vintage inspired dress watch for sometime now, and decided on the Alpina Heritage Carrée There’s something undeniably captivating about a rectangular watch, and this vintage-inspired Alpina proves that timeless design never goes out of style. Its Art Deco-inspired case, clean dial, and honey-cognac ostrich leather strap exude quiet sophistication without demanding attention. Rather than following today’s trend of oversized sports watches (like my numerous Invicta’s) it embraces refined proportions and understated elegance. Paired with tailored business casual attire, this Alpina reminds us that true style is often found in the details—and that the right watch doesn’t just tell time, it tells a story.

@James Milson Thanks James. The first Alpina I saw like this had a darker face...and it was nice, but this version just spoke to me.

TBT — Timex National Parks Collection
Happy Throwback Thursday! Borrowing from my friends @Brett Sutton and @Warren Money this morning, "It's a stretch but stick with me" — Throwing back about a year-and-a-half ago when I picked up this wonderful Timex National Parks Collection watch featuring the beautiful “Great Smoky Mountains" National Park. Since my writing stories are all based in the Ozarks Mountains Region here, considered 'Appalachia West', and I love the Smoky Mountains region, this is one I had to have. Another that went out-of-stock before I could place an order when they were originally introduced, as soon as they came back in stock last year I nabbed one. Sadly, now the price has increased 153% since then. At 40mm, this watch is so lightweight as to barely be noticeable on the wrist. I also like that this one has the Arrow Second Hand like my Timex Expedition watches. But miss the Timex Indiglo feature, and wish they would have included the 12-24 hour numerals on the dial to make this a proper "field watch," since it is intended as an outdoor watch, after all. But other than those small issues, I absolutely love this one. Product: TW2Y32400 Watch Movement: Quartz Analog Water Resistance: 50 meters Crystal / Lens: Acrylic Case Diameter: 40 mm Case Height: 10 mm Case Material: Resin Case Color: Black Case Finish: Matte Dial Color: Cream Dial Markings: Arabic (Full) Strap / Lug Width: 20 mm Strap Material: Fast Wrap Hook & Loop Fabric Strap Strap Color: Black Strap Buckle: Velcro Battery Type: SR626SW Best wishes for a Terrific Thursday! 😀

Great post. Reminds me of the years I spent in the beautiful Appalachian mountains and at APP State.
