Stair Regression
Hi legends,
My German shepherd, now 6 months old, keeps regressing with stairs. She does them quite fine (up and down) and then she’ll randomly miss a couple and slip down and then loses her confidence. Then after a week or two she’s good again. All I can put this down to is growth spurts and becoming uncoordinated with her body as it grows. She also thinks she’s much tinier than she is I’m convinced. For context they’re internal stairs so unless we make her a full time outside dog (which we don’t want to do) the stairs are non negotiable. I know ideally she wouldn’t have any due to their back legs but we do. Is this normal? Is there anything else that could be causing it? She’s 28kgs so I can’t keep carrying her down the stairs when she regresses and I want to avoid keeping her outside all the time.
Thanks in advance!
