First Experience with Ultrasound on Vagus nerve and Temple—02/28/2026
I finally got to try out the US Pro 2000 second edition.
The results I was hoping for from using this device were to help give my brain a tune-up of sorts—improved memory and word recall. I am also hoping it will help my mother with her mixed-dementia.
I used it on my left vagus nerve using the instructional video from Sterling.
I gently moved it up and down the vagus nerve for 5 minutes and experienced.... a whole lot of nothing! Lol. Ok, stay with me here.
I then bumped it up to medium and did it for 5 more minutes. At least this time I could hear a bit of high-pitched buzzing in my ears.
Then, I used it on my temple per how Stuart Hameroff talks about in his Danny Jones podcast here:
Anyway, it kind of felt like my brain was being massaged. It felt really good.
After between 5-10 minutes of that, I put the device away and started my bedtime routine. At this point, I was feeling SO relaxed, and my brain was silent, with the exception of a song playing in my head that my brain likes to do. I also noticed the volume of my tinnitus had become extremely low; almost imperceptible. It was weird hearing close-to silence in longer than I can remember.
The next day, I felt like I'd gotten a fantastic night's sleep. I was even still in the same position as I had fallen asleep in. This was unexpected.
As I began going through my wake-up routine, I realized my brain was still incredibly silent, and I still felt very calm. On top of that, from a mental health perspective, I feel fantastic! I feel really good! I've been living with anxiety and depression for decades, so the before and after is quite stark. I feel so good!
Anyways, I know I kind of threw out Sterling's guidance about using it for only 5 minutes per day on the left vagus only for.... 2 weeks to start, was it? I can be kind of a maverick that way. And I know this is only anecdotal and possibly a good deal of placebo injected in because I was really excited about trying it. But, I am so encouraged by the results so far!
I look forward to continue using it as well as trying it out on my mother.
I will continue to use it and report back.
Thank you so much, Sterling, for your work and this group!
