Dementia Infusions- safe with ultrasound?
Do you happen to know if it's safe to use the ultrasound device on the head/temple for someone who is receiving the new infusions for dementia? For those who may not know, the new medication infusions are kisunla and leqembi. With these medications, a dementia patient receives an infusion once/twice a month for a period of several months. There are some risks with these medications, such as brain bleeds. I'm wondering if using an ultrasound around the time of the infusion (eg, within a couple days of the infusion), or using it at any time while infusions are ongoing (eg, a few weeks after the infusion, but may still have several more months of infusions to go) presents more risk.
