HOMEWORK 7/1 - 7/8
Great call this week! We talked about all things body position & power delivery when it comes to obstacles & particularly a "log hop" YOUR HOMEWORK: Review the following videos: Clutch Pops You Don't Need To Wheelie To Hit Big Obstacles Then if you feel you have your Clutch Pops dialed you can move onto the exercise posted below. Your GOALS with this drill: ~Smooth compression and body movement IN TIME with the suspension. NO MUSCLING IT UP. This should be physically EASY, when timed correctly. ~Power loaded in the motor, QUICK clutch pop. ~Hit both brakes once front wheel makes it 2/3 of the way up the log. Clutch comes back to slipping. ~Hold for a count of 5 or 10. Whatever it takes to make you feel like you have CONTROL. Not just "up and back down". We want to feel balanced, steady and sure, before we roll back and start again. We're working our composure here. It's important to be intentional. ~We start with the front tire against the log, almost driving into it a little bit. If you get bored of that drill, there are some more power progressions in: 5 Backyard Drills For Rock Gardens ADVANCED PRACTICE: If you have that dialed and you need a bigger challenge. Find a large obstacle. Rock slab, wall, tire. Something a few feet tall. ~Place a mark on the obstacle, (something clearly visible in video 😏) ~Start about 1/3 - 1/2 the height of the obstacle back. ~Repeat all the criteria above, but lift your front tire and place it ON THE MARK. ~ Get this CONSISTENTLY. Not just once every fifty reps. Challenge yourself to get 3/5/10 in a row. Post your practice to the group!

START HERE πŸπŸ’¨
This community is built around practice, progression, experimentation, and helping riders become more confident and in control on the trails. Here’s what to do first: 1️⃣ INTRODUCE YOURSELF Make a post and tell us: β€’ What you ride β€’ Where you ride β€’ What skill you’re currently working on β€’ And feel free to share a riding clip if you have one! 2️⃣ CHECK OUT THE CLASSROOM There are riding resources, concepts, videos, and bonus content already waiting for you inside the classroom tab. 3️⃣ UNLOCK MORE RESOURCES You’ll notice some classroom resources are locked until Level 2. This is designed to encourage participation and help build a real riding community instead of a band of crickets. πŸ‘€πŸ¦— Every like, comment, or reply you receive gives you points toward leveling up β€” so interact with other riders, ask questions, give feedback, and post your reps! You only need 5 points to unlock these resources! 4️⃣ WEEKLY VIDEO REVIEW CALLS Every Wednesday I’ll be doing a 1-hour live call reviewing EVERY riding video posted in the group throughout the week. We’ll cover: β€’ Riding technique β€’ Form corrections (if requested) β€’ Problem solving β€’ Bike/body positioning β€’ Trail situations β€’ And general riding questions Can’t make it live? No worries β€” recordings will be posted in the group afterward. 5️⃣ HELP ME BUILD THIS THING If something feels confusing, glitches out, seems missing, or you just have ideas that would make the community better… PLEASE tell me. I genuinely want this to become a fun, helpful place where riders can practice, improve, encourage each other, and grow together. 6️⃣ CHALLENGES I will start challenges once this group goes live hopefully in the next week or two! πŸ™Œ We're starting with a static balance challenge just to give you a head start for being so cool. πŸ˜‰ Welcome to The Practice Loop. Now go post your reps πŸ‘ŠπŸ½

What's Up With The Leader Boards?!
If you see this and wonder what the heck?! We're not ranking you on your dirt bike prowess. lol. I haven't figured out how to turn it off yet, or if it can, BUT the ranking is based off who ENGAGES in the group the most. You gain points, every time someone likes your comment, reply or post. It's also how you "level up" and unlock new resources within the group. As the group grows, we'll rely on the levels a little bit more, but for now in it's testing stages, it's mostly to encourage group participation! πŸ™Œ
